As the two contenders threw their pokeballs to the field two massive pokemon made their appearance. On Calem's side, his Tyrantrum, on Ash's side, a Torterra. Tyrantrum growled at the sight of the Continent pokemon who only glared back. Torterra was a turtle looking pokemon. He was a forest green color but also had brown legs with white claws. On his 'shell' of a back grew a massive tree.
"You have the first move Calem." Ash said politely.
Calem looked at the opposite trainer with an arrogant grin. "You heard him Tyrantrum earthquake." He commanded. Tyrantrum stomped his foot sending the seismic waves towards the opponent. The crowd roared in apporoval knoing how strong this attack was. But just like the last time, Ash's pokemon simply stood there. The crowd let out a collective gasp as there was no sign of any damage taken.
Ash raised his eyebrow. "This again? Calem I thought you would've learned from last time." He said mockingly. "Torterra, show them all a real earthquake."
Torterra lifted up on its hind legs and slammed his front two on the ground. He sent the seismic waves with such force the ground was being thrown to the side, leaving ruts in the ground. As it approached the opposing dinosaur, Tyrantrum tried to evade but was caught in the attack, ending in him falling over and being struck by the pieces of the ground that were thrown forth.
"Finish with frenzy plant." Ash commanded. While Tyrantrum remained on the ground, struggling to get up do to its small arms, was suddenly wrapped in massive green vines. As they came out of the ground they wrapped themselves around the Pokémon and began to squeeze. Tyrantrum cried out in pain but could do nothing. After a few seconds, the vines receded into the ground and left Calem's pokemon still on the ground with swirly eyes. Calem returned his pokemon and glared at Ash while he returned Torterra.
"Thats an earthquake." Ash said smugly.
"Fine, go Chesnaught!" Calem said, throwing his next pokemon out. After a flash of light, the grass starter from Kalos was visible. He stood on his hind legs, which were a tan color, and had a green she'll on his back with spikes on it. His long muscular, tan, arms protruded put of the shell and had green plating on the outside to help protect him. What normally had a happy grin was now a scowl as he looked towards the field.
Ash threw his pokeball and after a similar flash of light, stood his Garchomp. Garchomp looked to the opposing Kalos starter and did his version of a chuckle causing Chesnaught to get even angrier.
"Again. You may have first move Calem." Ash said.
"Chesnaught, wood hammer!" Calem yelled. Chesnaught rushed forward as his arm began to glow green with force.
"Catch it." Ash said calmy. As Chesnaught neared Garchomp he swung his arm down as had as he could only to be net by Garchomp's forearm.
Ash gave Calem a smirk. "Flamethrower."
Calem looked on in shock as Chesnaught was engulfed in flames. After a few seconds of intense heat. Garchomp stopped spitting fire and stepped back revealing a slightly burned, fainted pokemon.
Calem returned his pokemon and looked at Ash. "What sort of game are you playing at?"
"I'm playing to win. Just a little bit of motivation behind this win." Ash said glancing into the crowd. Calem looked to where Ash was looking and saw what he didn't want to see. Dawn and Serena chatting away. Calem turned his attention back to Ash and gave him a death glare. 'I will destroy you'

"Ash is doing well don't you think?" Serena asked Dawn nervously. She didn't want to admit it to Dawn but she actually still liked Ash, and she was pretty sure he still liked her too.
