Trying To Move On

Chapter 11

That night Ash had gone to sleep rather early. He had a lot on his mind and was mentally shot. After the press conference he didn't even bother to meet up with Dawn and Serena. Rather he walked across the street to his hotel, checked into his room and immediately went to sleep. He was awoken the next day by the sound of yelling of women in the kitchen adjacent to his bedroom. He quickly climbed out of bed, changed his clothing, and exited the room to see Dawn and Serena, both still dressed in pajamas and arguing in the kitchen...

"Well I'm better at making breakfast regardless of what you make!" Serena yelled.

"It doesn't matter how well you make it, if it's his favorite he will like it better!" Dawn retorted.

"Enough." Ash interrupted.

Both girls glared at the figure standing in the doorway before realizing who it was. When they recognized who the man was they both relaxed and gave him a warm smile.

"Anyone care to tell me what's happening here?" Ash asked in an annoyed tone.

Serena spoke up first. "Well I was going to make you breakfast. I've gotten quite good at it." She chirped.

"And I was here to make you breakfast because I know how much you love cinnamon rolls." Dawn responded.

"Well why don't you just make breakfast together?" Ash asked.

The two girls both then glared at him.

"What?" Ash asked defensively.

They both sighed at his stupidity. "Fine do whatever for breakfast. I've got some errands to run before we head back to Sinnoh so I'll just grab something on the way." Ash said.

"Can I go with you Ash? I know my way around the city and I know where to get the best deals." Serena said with a wink.

Dawn looked at her with a glare. "Wouldn't you prefer I go? After all I AM your girlfriend." She said with emphasis.

Ash thought for a second before responding. "Well why don't you come along with me and Serena? She does know where she's going after all." Ash said sheepishly.

"You're an idiot." Dawn said before walking away.

Ash turned to Serena. "What did I do?" He asked confused.

"Nothing Ash. She's just being a bit stubborn." Serena said happily. "I'll be right back, I'm going to go change."

As Serena left, Ash sat down at the small table provided to eat at in the kitchen and thought about what he had said and still couldn't figure out why Dawn was so upset. A few minutes later Serena came out and dragged him out the door to begin shopping.

With Dawn:

A few hours had passed and Dawn was no more upset than ever. First Ash agrees with Serena instead of picking her and now she was getting all of these Twitter and Facebook updates of Serena posting pictures of her and Ash doing things. One was of them smiling together eating ice cream while a video showed Serena jumping on Ash's back and having him carry her around the mall. The one that got her most upset was one from Ash. It was a snapchat of Ash and Serena on a park bench and Serena was sleeping. On Ash. With Ash looking like he enjoyed it.

'Who does she think she is? Who does he think he is? This is stupid why would Ash even want to hang out with her unless.....' She thought to herself. She spent a few more moments of hard thinking she heard the door unlocking and turned to see Ash walking in with Serena clinging to his arm.
