I froze, I couldn't move, even though my mind was telling me to run. Only after having a three second panic attack, I realized that it could be Alexander. I felt the pressure on my shoulder disappear. I turned around, and came face to face with air. Air, nothing was there, as usual.

I opened the door and speed-walked back to my room. That's it I was going back to America, no matter what it cost me. I don't care about the kingdom I am supposed to care about. And the stupid encounters with nothing and everything. I am done! I made sure everything was in my suitcase and zipped it up. I glanced over at the window the moon and stars were out. I walked over to the window, flipped the lock over, and pulled up the window. I opened the screen and stuck my head outside.

"What are you doing," Alexander said from behind me.

"Why," I said turning around.

"You're suitcase is packed," he replied

"Anndd," I asked

"Wel-"

Alexander was cut off by another scream downstairs.

"Stay here," he said and rushed out the door

How was I going to leave now. He's going to come back here after he's sees what's going on. The Window. I grabbed my suitcase and tossed it out the window. I guess I should have looked to see if anyone one was down there but to late now. I climbed up on the window seal, I looked down I could survive that jump right. I'm a vampire and only on the 4th floor. Well I hope I can survive the jump because I'm not waiting here.

I took a deep breath and jumped. When my feet hit the ground I knew I was safe. I grabbed my suitcase and walked around front, where I got a cab, and headed to the airport.

...

When I was on the plane, I finally relaxed. I was going home, where I would be safe, yeah Alexander would be pissed that I ran away yet again but, I had too.

Flashback

After hours of running through the woods, we finally made it to the next town. I will admit I look a little out of place. Everyone in this villiage wore pants, even the girls. Here I was in a dress, I wasn't aloud to wear anything else, it would be improper. Alexander went to go get directions to the nearest town. After about ten minutes he still wasn't back so I decided to go look around. I thought back to earlier today, everything that happened to my family, my home. I couldn't take it. I had to get as far away as possible. I walked to the edge of the woods. I didn't even look back I just kept walking.
