Kelly POV

Its July 1st and I am at a firecracker store with Liam and Samul and Chris.

"They don't need that." I whined as Chris, Samul, and Liam where putting different types of fireworks in the basket. "I cant afford all that!" I raised my voice but Chris only waved me off. "What yall don't want to buy anything else to make me go bankrupted?" I asked sarcastically. They shook their heads like I was really asking them.

"That will be $150.25" The lady at the cashier said. My heart nearly fell out my chest. I took out some cash but Chris beat me to it.

"You didn't need to do that."  I told Chris as we put the bags in the car.

"I know but I wanted to. " He smirked.

I shook my head and got in the passenger seat of Chris car.

We dropped my brothers of at home with there fireworks and went back to campus.

"Can I spend the fourth of July with you and your family?" Chris rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yeah that will be coo but it wont be a lot of people there just a little get together that's all." I stated.

"Coo but come over to my dorm and lets just hang out for the rest of the day." He pulled me along towards his dorm.

Vanessa POV

"Yes mom I will be there...Yes.... Ok.... But Kelly isn't going to be able to make it she has her own party to attend to at her house but ill bring her on the 5th.... ok... love you to mom talk to you later." I finally got off the phone with my mother.

"Was that your mom?" Brandon walked up behind me making me jump. "Scary ass." He chuckled.

"Shut up." I hit his chest. "But yeah that was her. Do you want to come to our BBQ on the fourth?"

"Yeah" He nodded. "I told my parents about you and they want to meet you. Can we swing by there for like an hour then go to yours?"

"Umm like meet your parents?" I wondered. I don't know what is was but I am scared to meet his parents but not when it comes for him to meet my parents.

"Yeah meet my parents. What you don't to meet them I'm meeting yours." His voice sounded hurt but his face showed different.

"I'm just don't think I'm ready to meet them yet that's all."

"What every dude. I got to go ill see later I guess." He walked out pissed. I didn't mean to make him mad now I feel bad.

Am I wrong for not wanting to meet his parents right now?

I went upstairs to my room calling Kelly but  got no answer.

'Ughh I really need someone to talk to but I don't have no one other than Kelly and my parents and this is a conversation I rather not have with my parents at the moment.

I laid in bed until I felt my eyes getting heavy.

I rolled over grabbing my phone seeing it was 12:03 with three miss calls and two messages from Kelly.

Kelly- Girl my bad I didn't see you called until now.

Kelly first message was at 9:01 and the second one was at 10:00

"I called three times in the last hour call me back."

I texted Kelly back then I got up going to the bathroom.

I walked down stairs to see Brandon sitting on the couch on his phone. When did he get back? And he still up? I thought to myself.

"Brandon." I said quietly but loud enough for him to hear me.

"what's up?" She kept his eyes on his phone.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean for it to seem like I don't want to meet your parents but I'm just not really ready for that." I sat down on the opposite couch Brandon was at.

"Come here."

"Uhh?"

"You heard me come here." I got up and sat down next to him. He picked me up and placing me in his lap so I was straddling him. "I see and I apologize for walking out ealier. He apologized. "Well lets go to bed." He stood up with me in his arms.

"But I'm not tired." I whined.

"You gonna chill out with that whining". he smacked my ass. I nodded as he walked upstairs still holding me.

He set me down on his head then getting out some clothes to sleep in. He walked in the bathroom getting dressed.

"Can you give me a massage? Practice was tough today." He laid down on his stomach.

"What you gonna give me? Nothing is free in this world." I smirked.

"Girl if you don't give me a massage." He shook his head. I got up and sat on his back rubbed it.

I rolled off of Brandon's back and onto his bed going to sleep.

"Vanessa! Kelly and Chris are here get up." Brandon came in here trying to get me up for the 5th time. I was so confrontable I didn't wanna get up but he is irking my nerves.

"Fine!" I groaned getting out of his bed. I walked to my room and landed face first on my bed. Falling back to sleep. 

"She went in her room. I bet she in her bed sleep." I heard Brandon say. Not even five seconds later Kelly bust in my room.

"Nessa. Get. Your. Big. Butty. Up." Kelly smacked my butt with every word she said. I got up and stormed to the bathroom. Why don't they want me to get my sleep? I need my sleep and they are holding me back from my precious sleep. 

I got up going to the bathroom. I did what I need to in the bathroom then came out to see an outfit laid out on my bed. I guess Kelly took it out for me. I got dressed then went down stairs to smell breakfast. My favorite meal of the day other than snack time. 

"Finally your up. I thought I was going to have to drag you out of bed by your hair." Kelly chuckled. I flipped her off making me a plate of food. "I don't think my boyfriend would want me doing that with you." Kelly laughed.

"Eww shut up Kelly." I shook my head.

"What we going to do today?" Brandon asked to no one in particular.  

"I don't know about yall but I'm going to the mall with Nessa and my sisters." Kelly said.

I shrugged off the fact I didn't even know I was going to the mall with her off. I guess ill go I have nothing else to do.

"I guess we are too. I aint got nothin better to do and practice is cancelled today." Chris invited himself and Brandon along.

I finished my food placing my plate in the sink.

"Hey Nia get dressed and tell Mia to get dressed to. Where is Liam and Samul." Kelly called her sister putting her on speaker.

"They at Nana's and Papa's" Nia said referring to their grandparents.

"Ok well get dressed ill be there in thirty minutes so be ready when we get there." Kelly hung up. "Come on lets go." I grabbed my purse putting all stuff in it leaving out the house and to my car.

Brandon got in my car and Kelly got in Chris's car.

We headed to pick up Kelly's sisters then to the mall.

Did Brandon really forgive Vanessa for not wanting to meet his parents?
