"My grandmother passed away." Jackson blurted out and him and lil lied in her dorm.
"That's awful." Lil said sitting up.
"Not really, she felt it was her time and told not to cry but rejoice she's joining our heavenly father." Jackson sighed.
" I'd still cry."
"Lil, when I pass away, don't cry too long. I'd hate to see tears in those beautiful eyes, or stain your gorgeous face." Jackson sighed kissing her. "I love you, in life and death."

"Hey mom, where's dad? Jamie and I brought over Cleo, she adores him," Dylan smiled, Jamie bringing Cleo in.
"He just left for the store but he will be back soon," she said as they sat and waited for Jackson to come home.
"Moma, you sure dads gonna be right back?" He asked looking at the clock to see how long he'd been gone.
Lil heard her phone ring, she quickly answered it not looking at the caller ID.
"Jackson?" she asked
"mom, turn on your t.v. to the channel eight news. " she heard dani say breathlessly.

Lil stood at the front of the small group of people attending the funeral. People going up and speaking. Lil felt like crying but she couldn't , she promised him she wouldn't. a line of five soldiers there, all men Jackson's served with. It was her turn, she was the last to speak before they lowered the casket.
she walked and cleared her throat.
"I am not a widow. He was, and still is my husband. He told me that he loves me in life and death, and I will love just the same, He's my crooked nosed prince, and I'm his kickbutt princess. " lil laughed feeling the tears flow down her cheeks.
