"Come on Lil, get in the water!" Jackson shouted swimming to the dock where she stood
"No." She shook her head.
"Why not?" He asked climbing out and standing in front of her.
"Because, yesterday was my first day getting my period." She whispered her face a bright red.
"If you want I'll play board games with you in the cabin."

"Come on! You already got in the water earlier with Brent, why won't you come in with me.?" Jackson whined.
"I don't know," she said quietly.
"Yes you do," he said getting closer to her and looking her in the eyes.
She closed her eyes pulling her legs out the water to her chest. He pulled himself out the water sitting next to her. "What's wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it." She sighed
"I know "
They sat there silently.
"If you want we can go in and play some old fashioned board games? " Jackson smiled showing his crooked teeth.
"I'd like that," she said as he gave her a hand up. "But I don't wanna walk," she grinned throwing her arms around his neck and jumping up into his arms.
"Your so lucky I like you," he laughed hoisting her up.
She rested her head on his shoulder with a smile on her face.
"I know."
