Chapter 30

I am back! Hehe. Sorry for the late upload.

First, and breaking my own rules, I dedicate this chapter to daddysgirl1017.  It was my dad's (who already passed away 10 years ago) birthday last Nov. 17 and I forgot it. Yeah, terribe me. daddysgirl1017 just reminded me of my father and I. (Yea, I am a daddy's girl too.)

Second, and last (I really don't have much to say), the picture on the right is Weasley Island. Hehe

Chapter 30

Vince:

The white sand, the blue waters, the tall coconut trees, the cool breeze and the dancing waves – these are the things that made this island exceptional. As we took off the yacht, girls wearing Hawaiian dress greeted us and placed colorful lei around our neck. We were welcomed with a band that played lively music for us.

Talk about warm welcome.

We were led to a large villa a few meters away from the beach. The villa was large enough to accommodate all of us from our school – except for the teachers and other school administrators who have a different villa.

This time, we were asked to group ourselves into four for our room assignments. With me are Dave and two from the football team – Martin and Reid.

I saw Liz with Diane and two from the student body organization. Honestly, I felt relieved that I didn’t saw Justin with her.

As I was looking at them, Diane caught my eye as she turned her gaze to me. She smiled which I returned and ran towards me.

“Hey Vince!” she greeted.

“Hi.” I greeted back. “You’re roommates with Liz again?”

She simply nodded. “Yeah. She’s so nice and thoughtful that I wanted to always be roommates with her.”

I laughed. “I agree, but she can be dangerous at times.” I said as memories of Liz and I fighting flashbacked in my mind.

“I doubt it.” she said smiling. “I guess you’re with Dave again.”

“As always.”

Suddenly, a voice called her. “Diane! We’re heading to our room. Are you coming with us?”

We both turned and saw it was Liz. Our eyes met for a second but she looked away. But wait – did I just saw her blush?

“I’m coming!” Diane shouted back. She then turned to me, “Did you see that?”

“See what?”

“She blushed.”

“Really? I thought I was just imagining it.” I said, quite surprised.

Her next question shocked me. “Did you tell her what you feel?” she asked.

I can feel my heartbeat accelerate and my breathing almost stopped. “W-what are you talking about?”

She laughed. “Come on, Vince. You and I both know that she was the one you’re talking about the other night. Accidentally falling in love with the girl who would never fall for you? Remember?”

“Wait! How did you know?” I said, lowering my voice.

“It’s obvious.” She said, laughing.

I released a sigh. “Fine. You’re right. But no one is allowed to know about this, okay? About her pretending to be my girlfriend? Promise me.”
