I.WANT.TO.CRY.RIGHT.NOW.

There you go guys, the FINAL chapterof my very first book. *sob sob sob*

First, I dedicate this chapter to my very close friend, fallenbabybubu. Sorry dude, but allow me to be a bit dramatic this time. If it wasn't because of you, I wouldn't know that Wattpad exists. And...I'll tell you the rest when you ask me. haha

Second, thank you! You guys are the best fans in the world!

I won't say much. I am speechless right now. Good thing I have created an Author's note for this. hehe

Enjoy GUYS!

Chapter 42

Liz:

The night sky was dull and lifeless. There were no single star visible and the moon was slightly covered with clouds. And it seems to me that the night sky reflects my situation right now – dull, lifeless and in a blur.

I stare blankly into the sky trying to find reasons as to why these things must happen to me. There seems to be no answer. Why me? Why Vince? Why us?

As I stare into the night sky, I heard a man spoke.

“I knew you’d be out here.” He said.

I turned to look and saw Justin approaching me. “What are you doing here?” I asked.

“What are you doing here?” he asked back, putting an emphasis on the word ‘you’. “It’s late at night and you need to rest. A lot of things happened today – and a lot of things didn’t – including our wedding.”

“I don’t want to talk about it right now, Justin. Please, give me a break. Just this once.” I pleaded.

He stepped closer to me and stood beside me. Giving a slight smile, he added, “You don’t need to talk about the wedding ever.”

“What do you mean?” I asked, forehead creased.

“We’ll not be getting married.” Then he looked straight into my eyes. “I saw your reaction at the hospital earlier. About what happened to Vince.” He paused for a bit. “You love him, don’t you?”

A nod is all I can respond.

He laughed under his breath. “I knew it.”

“I’m so sorry, Justin. I’m sorry about the wedding and – “

He cut me off. “Please don’t. I knew this would happen. I knew from the start that you can’t marry me. And I don’t want you to spend the rest of your life in regret.”

Justin pulled me into a hug and gently whispered. “I love you enough to let you go.” And then he kissed me in my head.

Tears started to well up my eyes as he pulled away. “Thank you.” I muttered.

He smiled at me. “Only a few people find true love. I am happy you found yours.”

And then he left.

**********

The feeling I have in my chest felt heavier as I approached Vince’s room at the hospital. My parents were busy trying to contact Vince’s parents to tell them what happened.

I reached for the knob and opened the door.

As the door opened, I saw Diane and my other roommates back in Weasley Island sitting by the couch inside the room. Their faces were downcast. I entered and saw Dave sitting on a chair by the side table lamp just beside Vince’s bed. He was looking on the ground and not smiling.
