Chapter 5

All of summer I have been waking up at noon. Today Wally had different plans.

"Willow! Wake up you lump!" He shouts in my ear. I flip him off. I hear his footsteps out of the room. I hear him come back.

"I gave you a chance. Now you must pay." All of the sudden I'm covered in ice water. I get up and glare at him. "Oh shit. I woken up a monster." He says.

"Oh shit is right. I'm gonna get you back today in training." I sit up and shake out my hair. "Why did you wake me up early any ways?"

"Family breakfast day! If you want food, get there before me." He speeds off. When we were younger, our parents had this big breakfast a little bit before school started. I haven't been to one in a couple of years. Since Luna died it has been hard to be around my mom. My mom made it even harder to forgive myself for Luna's death. Actually I still haven't forgiven my self yet.

I get ready for today then go down stairs. I walk into the dining room with the table covered in food. I think I'm in heaven.

"Good morning Willow. I think this is the earliest you have been up all summer. Well besides that beach trip." My dad says. My dad and I are on good terms.

"I have a good excused now days for waking up at noon." I sit down and make a breakfast burrito. When I start stuffing my face, my mom walks in and joins us.

"What time have you been coming back from training?" He asks. I sigh. "About 3 in the morning on a good day. Today Black Canary is training us today. Guess who is getting their ass whooped?" My Dad busted out laughing while I think Wally is planning his Will.

"So Wally how has been going on Missions and such?" My mom asks Wally.

"It has been a lot of fun. A little hard at first because we didn't have a leader, but now we have a leader and I hope it is going to get easier. Also since Willow is there, she can keep me in check." Wally needs to learn to talk with out food in his mouth.

"Wally the only reason it is fun for you is because you are flirting with M'gann."I say. I finish my food which was delicious. "Can I be accused?" I ask my parents. My dad nods his head. At least some one knows not to eat with their mouth full.

"Willow can I talk to you in the kitchen?" My mom asks. I nod my head.

"Are you sure you want to be on this team? I mean the last time you tried to be a hero people died." She asks. I let out an angry sigh.

"Last time was almost two years ago. People die it is the casualty of life. Do you fear for my life or the lives of others?" I ask but I already know the answer.

"Others. They will just get hurt by you." she raises her voice. I glare a very deadly glare.

"So what you are saying is you don't care if I die?" I yell trying to get Wally to come and speed me out before I do some thing stupid.

"You have to kill the weed before it spreads." That sentence made me jump at my own mother and almost beat her to a pulp. Before I made contact, I was in my room. Wally was blocking the door.

"Get your stuff you need today and we will go to training earlier." I nod. I already had my backpack packed with the stuff I need. I grab my jacket and jump out of the window. I run to the nearest Zeta tube and Zeta beamed to the cave. I walk in to find Dick, M'gann and Kaldur around an air hockey table.

"I want to play next." I walk up. "What's this? Is Willow up before noon?" Robin asks. I flip him off.

"Willow what does that finger mean?" M'gann is so innocent. "Well you see M'gann, it means F-" my mouth gets covered my Kaldur's hand. I glare at him and licks his hand.
