It just a boring day in the cave. Kaldur and Robin are sparring and I have no idea what everyone else is doing. Wally lighten up a little around boys. I plan on telling him soon. Conner and M'gann walks in. I walk over to Kaldur and Robin.
"You know they're a couple, right?" Robin wishpers to us.
"I believe I knew before they did." Kaldur tells him.
"I caught them making out." I tell them. Robin looks at me then Kaldur. We blush lightly. Artemis and Wally walk up.
"Do we tell them?" Robin asks. "It is not our place." Kaldur says.
"Come on. I wanted to look so sad that he didn't get her." They both give me a look. Wally walks up to us.
"So if Zatara is our babysitter of the week, why is he still here?" Wally point to Captain Marvel. "And why is he eating my snacks?"
"He's better than some serious Leaguer." I tell them. They nod in agreement.
"Recognize Batman 0-2." The computer says.
"Computer National News." Bats is always business. Oh look it's Cat Grant.
"The initial attack was short lived but Metropolis was only granted a short reprieve. And despite the intervention of Superman and the Justice League there seems to be no end in sight." Cat tells us. With Videos of the league attacking.
"Should we get out there?" Robin ask hopeful. Bats turns around.
"No. The League will soon have the situation under control. That's not why I'm here. According to your intel Sportsmaster supplied Cadmus' Blockbuster formula to kobra." Bats says. Way to ruin dreams.
"Who combined with Bane's venom to makes Kobra's venom." Wally started nerding out.
"Which the Brain used to create his animal army." Robin added. Are all the villains working together now.
"And upgrade Wolf." Conner adds. Not really useful but ok.
"The brain also used inhibitor collars like the ones at Belle Rev." M'gann adds something useful unlike her boyfriend.
"Batman, is it possible that plant thingy is on Kobra venom too?" Artemis asks a useful question.
"I had Green Lantern run a spot analysis. Divine cellulose does contain trace amounts of a Kobra venom variant." Batman tells us.
"This can not be coincidences. Unrelated criminals are cooperating. With on another worldwide." Kaldur speaks my mind.
"Exactly. It's now clear our enemies have formed some kind of Secret Society of Super Villains. The attack on Metropolis is just the beginning." Bats informs us.
"You got that right." Robin types away. "Plant creatures have sprouted in Gotham city, Paris, Central City, Taipei-" He is caught off by static.
"Dude!" Wally yells at him. "It's not me. Someone cutting the signal." The Joker appears on the screen. I freeze up. He knocks on the screen.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt your regularly schedule mayhem to bring you this announcement from the Injustice League." He turn the camera to show more villains.
"We are responsible for the attacks on your cities. If you wish to save them a ransom of ten billion American dollars is required. Delivery instructions have been sent to the Untied Nations. There is no time limit. But the longer your government waits-" Count Vertigo says.
"The more we get to have our jollies." Joker laughs at the camera. Then is goes back to static.
"Roger that, Aquaman. The UN will prepare the ransom as a fallback but it won't come the that." Bats says through the coms.
