Valkyrie kissed awake his pregnant mate. Lincoln had fallen asleep and wasn't able to see the glorious castle upon arriving. He hadn't woken his mate, because Lincoln had just fallen asleep in the bumpy carriage.

"Mmmm....." Lincoln groaned, "Go away."

Valkyrie just smiled and showered his mate's face with kisses. He wanted to explore their new home, and he wasn't going to do it without his mate at his side. Lincoln growled at him, and pushed him away, before twitching his nose and opening his eyes. "It doesn't smell like my apartmennn.....what?" he sat bolt upright.

They were currently sleeping in one of the completed sections of the castle. There was still a ton of walls that needed to be finished and the watch towers hadn't even been started. The surrounding city was slowly building itself too, with only one small inn, two new farms, and a watermill. The warrior was amazed at how quickly people could move and build.

"Where are we?" Lincoln growled, pulling back the sheets and getting to his feet.

"Uh, der, your majesty," Valkyrie smiled, "You're palace?"

Lincoln rubbed his face and headed to the bathroom, were the warrior could hear him washing up. He returned shirtless and with new pants on. The swell of his seven month stomach was unbelievable. To Valkyrie it was so adorable, especially Lincoln's starting to develop waddle--as much as he tried to hide it.

"I'm still surprised you have you're upper arms and chest still...." Valkyrie sneered, "You really have been liking your pear tarts."

"Shut up ass hole," Lincoln laughed, "and for your information I can almost bench as much as you can, so a der."

Valkyrie got to his feet, and kissed Lincoln's forehead then cheek, and rested his face in the smaller man's shoulder as he felt his mate's stomach. The dumplings were silent and unmoving, but Valkyrie didn't min--he was glad his mate could be at peace for once.

"So were'd Carlo wander off to?"

"He went to claim the medical ward, and I think is currently forcing quite a few workers to get the furniture in early and go scout for herbs, he isn't taking your pregnancy lightly."

Lincoln nodded, and slumped onto an arm chair, rubbing his stomach with a sigh, "Oh having them is gonna be a trip."

Valkyrie smiled slightly, "I'll be here for you."

"I forewarn you, I get very agitated with pain, you're gonna want something for me to throw knives into."

Valkyrie nodded, " You are free to break my hand to....." He paused with a big smile, "I think there's a seamstress, working in the inn. We could explore the castle, and visit her. I want to get some stuff for them."

Lincoln nodded but made no rise to his feet, he survived their warm room, and then the fall colors outside. The room itself was fully furnishes already. It had a massive fireplace, steadily burning, and on the mantel were two silver wolf statues with jagged blue lines on them--Lincoln's requested symbol. There was a massive king bed with a light blue embroider duvet with blue pillows and white sheets. It had a canopy as well with even lighter blue and silver coloring. There was a coffee table on in the middle of the room with a silver and blue rug beneath and matching chairs. Bookshelves took up one side of wall, and on the other were windows. To Lincoln it was luxurious and perfect.

"Valky...." he motioned to the bookshelves all around the room. "You wanna see if you can find me the Witch and the Warlock, I love that book."

The warrior nodded, "Link, why do you want the book, don't you want to explore?"

Lincoln patted his exposed belly with a smile, "my back hurts to much, my stomach is to heavy, and I'm hungry, fat, and tired."

Valkyrie shook his head, "You are not fat darling...."

The Bounty Hunter cut him off "You want to go see if you can get me some pear tarts? I'm going to try out our new bath...." he smiled, "You could also surprise me with some baby cloths." he rubbed the swollen from again, "Because all we have is two onesies, and if it were up to me they'd be getting everything in black or green."

Valkyrie sighed heavily, "But Link, I want you to come with me."

"We can always go again, besides, they are going to need toys," Lincoln's voice grew soft, "So...er...pick up some brown felt and black stitching....I will make a...er...teddy bear."

Valkyrie smiled widely and spun to face his mate, "You know how to make teddy bears?"

"Shush!" Lincoln snapped, scotching his extremely curly hair, "I kinda sorta knowa fewa tricks."

The warrior beamed, then looked about the room. "Linky, you can still protect yourself right?"

The Bounty Hunter nodded, "If I'm up for it let's see if we can find a training ground. It's been what, two weeks since I've last trained."

Valkyrie glowered, "You need to take it easy, babe."

"Don't call me that, and stick it out your ear. I'm going stir crazy." The warrior shrugged then toss him a book. To his surprise the Bounty Hunter shifted to his feet and caught it with ease.

"Thanks Valk." He plopped back down and the warrior went to retrieve, Lincoln's cross bow, hat, trench coat, his weapons, belt and his two very cruel looking daggers--smiling at the third, the one he had threw at Lincoln when they had first met.

"I'll be back in a bit," Valkyrie stated then growled, "You be careful kay? I don't want you leaving the room till I'm back."

"You better hurry hun, cuz I'm starving," Lincoln sneered patting his belly again. The warrior rolled his eyes, came over and kissed his mate on the lips before giving Lincoln's belly a kiss to. "Be safe." He strolled out after that, running a hand through his hair that was in a messy man bun.
