As I wait for my bus, I check the time.
7:08am. "Baek Eunbyeol!" Of course I knew it was Baekhyun. No one else would call me that... of course no one except my mom. "Oh, Baekhyun.."
Baekhyun saw the despair I had in my eyes. "Why didn't.. you sign the contract??" I tucked my hair behind my ears. "I decided to think on it a bit more.." I responded. "But, becoming a star, a celebrity.. isn't that what you've always dreamed of?" I smiled. "There are more things important to me other than fame.. Baek, what about my mom's dreams?? my mom's future i'm expected to carry on??" Baekhyun hugged me tight. "Byul, you don't have to do that. I know what happened to your mom wasn't what anyone would've wanted but, she wants you to carry on your life forgetting about her and the difficulties you've been through." I was flustered. Baekhyun wouldn't say something like that to me... Why now? As I saw the bus coming, I sent Baekhyun off. "Where are you going?" "To visit my mom, and pack a few things around the house." As the bus doors opened, I walked in being flustered by the words Baekhyun blurted out "Go out with me!" I stopped walking up... "I like you Baek EunByeol why are you so slow?! Don't you know i've been trying to get your attention ever since our date?!" I turned as the bus driver laughed "Jeez, you kids are cute. Go to your boyfriend already." As I got off, I slowly approached Baekhyun. "Is this a yes?" I smiled. "Byun Baekhyun.. you never know when to quit do you?" Baekhyun yelled and screamed while jumping up and down, I couldn't do anything but laugh and smile as to how Baekhyun looks while doing all of those actions. As he finally stopped being a goof he laughed and pulled me towards his arms. "Your mine now right?" I nodded and replied with a "Yes." He slowly released our hug and kissed me simultaneously.
As I headed back to the dorm, I see Chanyeol walking down the halls. "Chan!!" I yelled out his name. Oh, He's not responding.. "Park Chanyeol!!" Oh... still no response.. I have no choice then, I quickly sprinted towards him. "Ya! Why aren't you answering me? You just want to make me run now don't you?" Chanyeol scratched behind his ear, uh-oh.. Whenever he does that, theres always something off, or wrong with him.. "Oh, sorry.. I Didn't hear." "Didn't hear? You we're only a hall away from me.. What's wrong? Is everything okay? Did you get into a fight with your dad again??" Chanyeol took a deep breath. "Chanyeol!" "STOP BYUL!" I was taken back.. Chan never yells at me.. My eyes slowly started tearing up, "I... don't want to get hurt anymore. I-I never want to see you again. Please don't sign up to be a trainee, I wish you success at Harvard University, and with your long distance relationship with Baekhyun, Byul." Tears constantly kept flowing out of my eyes... With a shaky tone, I try to respond. "W-what? Harvard University? Chan why are you saying a bunch of nonsense?! You don't really mean that do you?" Chanyeol threw a letter on the floor. "Have a safe trip." As Chanyeol walks away, I wipe the tears running down my face.

I don't know... If I'm meant to be sad or happy. But this is what my mother & I have been aiming for ever since I started school.. Do I sign up to become a trainee or fullfill my mothers' dream?? As of now, Im having mixed emotions. How did Chanyeol find out about Baekhyun & I? and where'd he find my Harvard letter before I did?
More importantly, how does he know about Baekhyun and I?
"You've really screwed up now, haven't you Byul?" I got up as I wiped the tears running down my face. "Soo ah, i'm not in the mood." Soo Ah confidently walks towards me, "Stop playing with them. You don't deserve someone like Baekhyun. He deserves to be with someone who will truly love him, someone who won't have to choose between him or another guy. Let him go Byul, and just do what your destined to do. Follow your mother's dreams."
I never thought I'd say this but, Soo ah has opened up my eyes in another perspective... shes.. right. As soon as I walked back in the dorm, I gave Harvard University a call, and next thing I knew I was packing to leave.
I quickly put my luggage under my bed and went to Baekhyun's room.
"Annyeong!!" I greeted Baekhyun with a fake, but the most realistic smile i've ever made. "Oh, theres my girl!"
"Wanna spend a day out with your girl today??" Baekhyun quickly grabbed his keys, wallet and jacket. "can't say no to that!" We quickly left the dorm, as there isn't time to waste. Every minute, every hour, every second counts whenever i'm with him. As our date was nearing its climax, we stopped by near a park star gazing. "Byul, you know something?? You're prettier than all of these stars combined" I laughed as he wrapped his arm around me.
"This feels good." Tears suddenly started forming in my eyes. "Baek.. I need to tell you something." Baekhyun got up as he let go of me. "Hmmm?? why is your voice shaky? what is it?"
"Baek, lets break up.." Baekhyun's smile disappeared. "What? Byul, what are you saying?" "Baek, I got a scholarship to Harvard University. I'm turning down the agency's offer."
Baekhyun held my hands as tears fell harder. "Thats great isn't that what you've always wanted?? Byul, how does this affect us? Long distance relationships can work. I'll make it work. I-I promise I-" "Baekhyun! Stop.. I-I was just so blinded by your love, I felt bad for you. I saw how much you liked me. So I gave you a chance but it was just an unrequited love after all.."
I wiped all my tears, and let go of his hand. "You're lying. Byul, I know you well enough. You don't mean that. I know you like me as much as I like you." I turned away as tears fell from my eyes once again. "Byul!!" Baekhyun runs towards me as he won't give up.
"Why. Byul, you're so complicated! Why are you-" "Because! Its for the best, lets go our separate ways. Once we graduate we'll all be going on our different paths, what will then happen to you and I?" Baekhyun hugs me tightly, I will never forget his voice, touch, sense, smell and face. "Don't go." I tried releasing his tight hug as it was no use. "Baekhyun, live a long healthy life." As I let go of him I quickly ran to the bus stop.
After Graduation, I hugged Ji Eun and my other friends goodbye as I was on my way to the airport. "You'll do big things Byul! I know you will! Don't loose contact! when my first cd comes out you'll be the first to listen to it."
"Thanks Ji Eun! Please give this to Chanyeol and Baekhyun." As Ji Eun opens the letter she smiles. "I will!"
