{PART SIX}

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Jake says in disbelief. "Teach you how to fly?"

"What?" Eyanna says. "Are you deaf or something?"

Jake glares at her and she laughs.

"That's inhumanly impossible, Jefferson," Jake says, sternly.

"You're my genie," Eyanna says simply. "You have to grant my wish."

Jake grunts. Eyanna smiles slyly.

"Use your imagination if you have one, Hunters," Eyanna says. Jake rolls his eyes.

"I need time to think," Jake says. Eyanna shrugs then lies on her back again.

"Okay, but I want my wish tonight," she says. Jake groans.

"Or," Eyanna says. "Do you prefer to do it at school?"

Jake froze then groans again.

"Fine," he says, reluctantly. "I'll fulfill it tonight."

Eyanna smiles.

"Good," she says. A couple of minutes passed and Jake has still has no idea how he could grant Eyanna's stupid wish.

"Hey, Hunters," Eyanna calls out.

"What, Jefferson?" Jake asks.

"Lay down with me," Eyanna says.

"Are you fucking kidding?" Jake says in disbelief. "I don't wanna die yet!"

Eyanna laughs.

"I didn't know you were such a wimp, Hunters," she says. Jake clenches his fists then groans. He hesitantly lies down on his back beside Eyanna, their shoulders touching. Jake was quite surprised that he found it peaceful as he stares at the stars above the sky.

"This whole scenario reminds me of The Notebook," Eyanna says and laughs. Jake chuckles lightly.

"You are truly weird, Jefferson," Jake comments. Eyanna laughs again.

"Why, thank you, Hunters," she says. They just stay like that for awhile. They stay laying beneath the star-studded sky with the comfortable silence. Suddenly, a car honk breaks their peaceful reverie. The sound made them flinch and jump to their feet. Jake pulls Eyanna’s hand to quickly help her up then pulls her toward the sidewalk. Jake looks like he had just ra a marathon as he pants with his hands on his slightly bended knees. Eyanna is panting and laughing at the same time.

“Yup,” she says. “Just like The Notebook.”

“You are fucking crazy,” Jake says, regaining his normal breathing.

“Hey,” Eyanna says, still laughing. “You were with me too. They probably thought we were crazy.”

“No shit,” Jake says, breathing normally now but adrenaline still coursing through his veins. Eyanna continues to laugh then slowly stops. Her chest is rising and falling as she tries to regain her normal breathing. Jake hears a whizzing sound and he turns to see a miniature fan that’s turned on. It was old and getting rusty. It was broken too for it would not turn sideways but only semi-sideways then turns back again. Just then, he had an idea in his head.

“Hey Rainbow!” Jake says, shaking her shoulders.

“What?” Eyanna says, confused.

“I know how to grant your wish,” Jake says, smiling slyly.

“Connor is my son. Why won’t you give him to me?” Roxanne says, her eyebrows meeting.

“He is also my son,” Landon states.
