{PART TWO}
Eyanna stared at Jake dumbfounded and Jake couldn't feel anything besides humiliation.
Out of all the people... why her? Jake thought.
"Jake Hunters," Eyanna pronounces slowly. "You are Jake Hunters, am I right?"
Jake said nothing. He just remained motionless. He was pretty paralyzed for sure. Jake had kept this secret for so long, and now it's revealed like this. To her. The girl whose live he was going to destroy starting tomorrow. He hated the thought of sucking up to her just so that he could keep his secret but he also thought of his secret being exposed thus ruining his reputation. In general, Jake Hunters is too prideful.
"I can't believe this," Eyanna says, her lips twitching up. Jake scowled.
"You find this amusing, don't you?" Jake says. Eyanna laughed lightly.
"And he talks!" Eyanna says. "Tell me, how long have you been keeping this deep, dark secret of yours, Jakey?"
Jakey, that stupid nickname again, Jake thought annoyingly.
"That's none of your business, Jefferson," Jake says through clenched teeth. Eyanna raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, really?" she says then leans forward on the counter. "I think it's my business already since I know about your secret. Am I right, Jakey?"
Jake clenched his fist. This girl is already getting on his nerves but he tried to remain calm. Tried.
"Listen you-"
"Anna!" Mr. Willis yells, smiling. Jake swallowed his words. He doesn't want to get fired for yelling at a customer. He needs this job. Eyanna smiled slyly at Jake. Jake sighed in frustration. Eyanna then turned to Mr. Willis.
"Good evening, Mr. Willis," she greets.
"How are you?" Mr. Willis asks. "Coming to return that CD you borrowed yesterday?"
"Yes, and borrow another CD," Eyanna says with a smile. "Is he your new employee?"
Jake blanches.
"No, I'm not," Jake answers in a monotoned voice. He saw that glint in her eyes.
Damn, I feel into her trap, he thought.
"Oh?" Eyanna says, seemingly surprised. "For how long?"
"For about two years now, right Jake?" Mr. Willis answers. Jake sighs.
"Yes," Jake confirms, barely audible.
"Oh, I see," Eyanna says with a hint of achievement. "Well, I'd like to borrow the A Walk To Remember soundtrack. If you have it."
"Of course, of course!" Mr. Willis says. "Could you get it, Jake?"
Jake nods limply.
"Sure, Mr. Willis," Jake says, reluctantly. He turns to the shelves and searches for the CD. Jake wondered how she found this place because it seems obvious that she's been here before. Later, he will get some answers out from her. That's for sure. He found the CD then placed it on the counter.
"That would be a dollar per day," Jake says, writing the receipt. Eyanna nods.
"I know," Eyanna says with a small smile. Jake scoofs silently.
"When did you first came here?" Jake asks.
"A couple of days," she answered directly.
"You didn't have any shifts those days, Jake," Mr. Willis adds. Jake nods then signs the paper. He places the CD in a plastic then tapes the receipt on the plastic. He hesitantly hands it to Eyanna who takes with a grin.
