{PART FIVE}
Jake was working at Goldie's tonight. As usual, there were no customers. He has his chin on his palm as he leaned on the counter. His mind was pondering on the deal he made with Eyanna Jefferson.
What would she do with three wishes and what's with the genie thing? His mind wondered.
His mind wandered off as those thoughts invaded his mind. He wasn't able to hear the ringing of the shop bell as a customer entered the shop.
"Ahem."
Jake snapped out of his daze and his eyes widened as soon as he saw Eyanna's amused-looking face.
"Very active employee," she comments. Jake glares at her in a very subtle way.
"What can I do for you, miss?" Jake says, forcing a smile. Eyanna laughs lightly.
"I must say I'm impressed, Hunters," she says. "I'd like to return these and check out a Savage Garden album, if you have one."
Jake grabs the CDs she placed on the counter.
"I'll see into it," Jake says icily then places the CDs on the box labelled as 'returned'. It was easy to find the albums of the Savage Garden. He sometimes plays it for the store music. He places the CDs infront of Eyanna then gestures to it.
"Choose," he says. Eyanna looks at the CDs then chooses one. She holds it up.
"This one," she says. Jake gets the CD and registers it in te record book then punches some numbers on the cash register.
"How long do you wanna keep it?" Jake asks.
"For a week," Eyanna answers. Jake nods then punches more numbers. The register opens with a slight 'ding' sound.
"That would be two dollars," Jake says. Eyanna places her hands in her pockets then pulls out a couple of bills. She places it on the counter. Jake gets the money, places it inside the cash register then closes it.
"Anything else?" he asks. Eyanna smiles slyly then shrugs.
"Check the bills," she says, getting the CDs then turns to leave. Jake's eyebrows furrowed as she left and the shop bell rings again. Mr. Willis got out of his office and asked Jake if they had a customer.
"Yep," Jake answers.
"Was it Eyanna by any chance?" Mr. Willis asks. Jake tenses but nods in response. Mr. Willis smiles.
"She's such a sweet girl, isn't she?" Mr. Willis says.
"I guess," Jake says, eating his words a bit.
"Maybe the next thing I would find out is that the two of youare dating," Mr. Willis says. Jake laughs.
"I don't think so, Mr. Willis," he says.
I doubt it, Jake muses.
"Why not?" Mr. Willis asks.
"I'm not her type," Jake says. And she's not mine...
"Well, we will never know," Mr. Willis says then goes back into his office.
Jake wouldn't be caught dead with Eyanna Jefferson. Date her? Oh please. He couldn't even imagine the thought of it. Just then, Eyanna's words came back into his mind.
Check the bills.
What's with the bills? HIs mind pondered.
He hesitated before opening the cash register. He took out the two bills and his eyes widened when he noticed a tiny bump in between. He seperated one of the bills from the other and he realized that it was staple wire. A small note was stapled to one of the bills. It said:
