{PART EIGHT}
They ran. Jake and her.
They both ran to the bus station. They were both panting, exhausted from all their running. Eyanna was quite surprised to see Jake so excited.
Didn't he just say that the idea was stupid? What sort of idea is on his mind?
Eyanna doesn't know but she couldn't wait to find out.
They arrive at the station and they looked like they had just ran a marathon. Eyanna glanced at the beaten up bus stop sign.
"What the hell are we doing here?" she asks. Jake was still panting but he smiled.
"Waiting for the bus, obviously," Jake replies.
"There's a bus here?" Eyanna says in disbelief. "You're not kidding?"
Jake raises an eyebrow.
"How did you end up here then?" he asks. Eyanna remained silence for a moment.
"Walking in any direction brings you to places you don't expect to end up in," she replies. Jake was pondering for a moment on what she meant. He realized that she is a mysterious person. A person who has her own set of secrets. Jake thinks there are meanings in between her words but he just couldn't seem to decipher.
"What is that suppose to mean?" he finally asked. Eyanna sighed before she responded.
"Nothing, you know. Just words."
Just then, the bus arrived. Jake decided not to push any further.
"Come on," he says, gesturing for her to enter the bus. Eyanna hesitantly walks into the bus with Jake following behind her. Eyanna greets the bus driver with a nid of her head then finds a seat. The driver greets back with a nod and smile. Jake smiled at the driver.
"Hey, Reese," he greets.
"Hey, Jake," Reese says. "Who's your lady friend?"
"Um, friend of mine," Jake says, finding the right word to say. "Hey, Reese, can I have a favor?"
Reese smiles, showing the dimples in his cheeks.
"Depends," he says. "Watcha asking for?"
"I was thinking of a little detour to Bart's?" Jake asks with a sly smile. Reese chuckles.
"You planning to make this lady fly?" Reese asks. Eyanna's eyes widen when she heard him say 'fly'.
He's really going to teach me, she thought.
"That's what she wishes, Reese," Jake says. "I'm here to fulfill it."
"Well, it seems like an all important mission," Reese comments.
"Oh, yeah," Jake says. Reese laughs.
"Better give the lady here wish then," Reese says, closing the doors of the bus.
"And give we shall!" Jake yells, holding the poles on either side. Eyanna laughed at his seemingly form of chivalry. Jake turned to her and smiled then he looked ahead of the road. Eyanna wondered where he would take here and she was starting to get nervous.
One way to find out is to wait, she guesses.

Connor was walking aimlessly on the streets. It seemed cold as he tried to tuck his hands in his pockets. He had to go. He couldn't stand all that drama. The drama that involved him. He doesn't even want to think about it right now but he knew that he couldn't get it off his mind.
