Chapter 20

'Fuh finally..,' Jeonghan said as he stretch his sore back. He took off the rubber glove and mask he wear before reaching for his cellphone in his pocket. 5 missed call from his soon-to-be mother-in-law. 'Ah I forgot to tell her I have to work overtime today,' Jeonghan pout. He even did not have dinner yet. Honestly, being the youngest Medical Laboratory Technologist was so exhausting cause most of the senior will take advantage of you by giving all their extra hours. Jeonghan sigh as he walk out from the lab, dialling Seungcheol's mom's number.

E : Hannie-ah! Where were you for God sake? I was worried sick.
J : Eomeonim. Sorry. I forgot to tell you I am working extra hours again today.
E : Aigoo. Uri sa-wo. You must be so tired right?
J : Yes eomeonim. But don't worry. I am going home now.
E : Okay dear. Drive safely.
J : Eomeonim?
E : Yes dear?
J : I'm hungry.
E : *chuckles* Who wouldn't after working all day. I will cook you some stew. Just get yourself back home safely. Okay?
J : Thank you. You're the best eomeonim.
E : I know. See you later dear.
J : Okay ..

The smell of a delicious stew greeted Jeonghan as he open the door. ' I'm back, eomeonim.' ' Oh sa-wo. Welcome home. Come here. I already prepared your dinner. Poor my Jeonghannie,' Mrs. Choi said as she hug Jeonghan. 'Thank you eomeonim,' Jeonghan replied. 'Woww isn't this too many eomeonim?' Jeonghan asked as he saw there a many kinds of food on the table. 'Are we having a guest tonight?' Jeonghan asked again. Mrs. Choi smile and nod. ' Who is i...' Before Jeonghan could finish asking, someone with a familiar scent hug his waist from behind. 'I'm home dear,' Seungcheol said putting his chin on Jeonghan's shoulder. 'Cheol? I thought you said you will only be back tomorrow,' Jeonghan said as he turned facing his lover. 'I wanted to surprise you, right eomma?' Seungcheol said with a sweet smile on his face. Jeonghan couldn't help but smile happily cause he had been missing the other boy like crazy all the time they were apart. 'I miss you Cheol,' he said and hug him tightly. 'Okay. So lets eat children. You can continue later,' Mrs. Choi said making Jeonghan broke the hug. 'Ah eomma. I missed him,' Seungcheol protest with a pout. 'I know dear. But he is starving. He's been working overtime,' Mrs. Choi said making Seungcheol pout grew longer. 'Don't mind him Jeonghan. Lets eat. I wonder who's son is that, huh,' Mrs. Choi teased his son. 'Ahh eomma!' Seungcheol said making both Mrs. Choi and Jeonghan laugh loudly. It really was fun teasing Seungcheol.

Jeonghan later interwined his fingers with Seungcheol,' Sorry Cheol. Lets eat first okay. I am all yours later, hmm,' making Seungcheol smile again. 'Yeayy thank you sweetheart. I love you,' Seungcheol said and kissed Jeonghan's cheek. 'Yahhhh !!' Jeonghan scream with his red face making Mrs. Choi and Seungcheol laugh at his reaction. Tonight, there was nothing but laughter and happiness at their house. Moment that Jeonghan had been waiting for almost two years. He glance to his beloved sweetheart beside him and sneakily wrote ' i love you ' on his thick thigh under the table. Seungcheol grin and look at Jeonghan mouthing ' me too ' and held Jeonghan's hand tightly. Deep in Jeonghan's heart, he was glad having Seungcheol beside him now. No more distance. No more 'Skype- dating'. He can hold his Seungcheol for real now.

Jeonghan woke up to the sound of alarm and quickly turned it off. He stare at his lover's face with a smile in his face before lovingly peck onto the other lips. Then he quietly broke out from Seungcheol's arms and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
'Good morning sa-wo, now that smells tasty. Where's Seungcheol?' Mrs. Choi asked while Jeonghan was preparing their breakfast. 'Ah good morning eomeonim. He was still sleeping eomeonim. Last night he asked me to cook banana pie for his breakfast,' Jeonghan replied. 'Huh that kid still haven't change. He still loves eating sweet stuffs, right?' Mrs. Choi shake her head. 'Thank you for being patience with him Jeonghan-ah. And thank you for loving that unperfect son of mine,' Mrs. Choi adds. Jeonghan turned and hug Mrs. Choi, ' You're welcome eomeonim. Thank you for teaching me lots of things and take good care of me. Most of all, thank you for accepting me.' Mrs. Choi rub Jeonghan's back and said,' So when was the wedding? I cannot wait forever you know,' she said with a wink. Jeonghan blushes and replied,' Seungcheol hasn't talked about it yet. Sorry eomeonim. I guess we will have to wait a little longer,' he said with a pout. ' What?' Mrs. Choi said. ' Err that silly child of mine. I think I going to teach him a lesson!

In a heavy rain, Jeonghan stared at a happy couple inside the ring shop with tears in his eyes. His heart broke into million pieces watching Seungcheol.. Seungcheol? Yes Seungcheol with a beautiful woman was trying on some couple ring together. 'No wonder he hasn't asked me. He have someone else,' Jeonghan said to himself. He walked away weakly from the shop as he cannot bear to watch them anymore. He went to the riverbank and closed his eyes. His tears flow heavyily as the rain. 'That smile Cheolie. That smile when I first said 'I love you' to you. The smile you had while kissing me, was it for her now?' Jeonghan said letting himself soaked in the heavy rain. He knows he is going to get sick but that was nothing compared to the pain in his heart right now. 'After all these years. Why now Cheol?'

Finally I get to update this fanfic. Sorry for the long wait everyone. My life had been busy with loads of asignments and I didn't have time to update. So here's a short chapter and sorry for any mispell though 😅.
