Chapter 2

Dear Diary,

There's about 2 hours left for the party, I've had my first kill but I feel hungrier than ever. I don't know if I should change my mind about going to the party. It's too late now, and I don't want to upset Juliette. This day will be the hardest of all.

I go down the stairs and ask dad if he could drop me at the party. He looks at me and I think that he might say no. After what I did to mother, I don't think he would let me go to a party. He sighs, and then stares at my red lace dress. He finally agrees, and grabs the car keys. He informs mom that he's leaving the house, and starts walking towards the door. I follow him outside and I have to run to keep up with him. He starts the engine, and asks me where to drop me. I tell him "Juliette's house please". He nods, and drives silently. We finally reach Juliette's house. I get out of the car, and tell dad that I'll call him when I want to leave. He nods in agreement, and leaves.

Juliette greets me and invites me in her house. There are just so many people. I start feeling dizzy, and I know that if I don't kill my life will be over in seconds. I go to the kitchen and find my classmate Caroline.

"Hey Claire, are you enjoying the party so far?" she asks

"Claire what are you doing? Put that knife down. You're scaring me Claire!"

Before I know it I'm already slicing her. All I can hear is her voice screaming for help. I slit her throat and her head falls down and starts rolling towards me. I slice every part of her body. I cut a small square on the spot of the heart, and I take her heart out. It's just very fun, and it scares me.

"Claire? What happened?"  Asks Juliette

I push her to the wall and I point the knife in front of her smooth neck.

"Claire please! Why do you want to kill me?"  She asks. Scared from what I might do.

"You have to die! I have to kill you" I whisper into her ears.

"NO!" She screams.

"Claire, I know that your killer. I've seen you kill the girl in the bathroom. I want to help you." She says softly.

I drop the knife, and I'm shocked. Juliette saw me kill the girl in the bathroom. She saw me as a monster, and yet she's my friend. Tears start streaming down my face and I can't control them. I fall on my knees and I cover my face. I start to sob without stopping. Juliette sits beside me and tells me that it will be fine. I suddenly realize what I have done. I get up as fast as I can, and I start running without stopping.

"Claire! Come back, you can't run from your problems" she shouts.

I don't stop and I am just so happy that this curse gave me the power of speed. This is the best time to use it. I run towards my house, and with just a blink I'm already on the doorsteps of my house. I take my key out and when I look at my dress I realize that I haven't cleaned my dress yet! Dad opens the door and he looks at me. He seems so upset, and I start to think that he saw the blood on my dress.

"Oh Claire! You're back" he says with a small grin.

I enter quickly and run up to my bathroom. Luckily the blood didn't show, because I'm wearing a red dress. I take a shower and try to clean my dress. I go into my room and I wear my pajama. Dad knocks on the door, and enters slowly. He seems more upset. He sits on the edge of my bed, and he looks at me.
