Cole was flying around in New ninjago city on his elemental dragon with Lloyd when he got a call.

"Hello it's Cole here"

"Grettings Cole, it's Zane. Come to
Ouroboros fast and bring Lloyd with you"

"I will come as fast as I can"
Call ended.

"Lloyd, Zane needs us in Ouroboros, now!" Cole said to Lloyd who nodded and they changed course to Ouroboros. When they came there the rest of the team was there, except...

Jay.

"Guys, where is Jay?" Lloyd asked when they landed on the soft sand and their elemental dragons vanished.

Cole and Lloyd walked to the limp body in front of the others and gasped.

"Wh-what... Happened?" Cole asked the others as he held back tears. Lloyd stared wide-eyed on the corpse in front of them in shock. The head was sliced off and was 4 feets away from the body. It was pretty fresh too. It was a puddle of blood from his throat and his eyes was still open, but the worst part was that it was Jay's body.

"I do not sense any fingersprints on the body" Zane said after scanning the corpse.

"It seems that the murderer was here not too long ago", Cole said and looked closer.

"Why would this happen to him!?" Nya cried and hugged her brother.

"Do you have any idea of who the murderer is?" Kai asked the guys while rubbing his sister's back.

"All we know is that the killer was here quite recently" Lloyd said. "But what are we going to do with Jay's body?"

"Maybe we should bury him here instead of taking him to the Bounty, he can have deadly bacterias on him even if it's just a few minutes he has been here", Zane stated.

"How can you be so sure? It could have been 10 hours ago, 3 hours ago, one day ago!" Cole said to Zane.

"When I scanned his body he still had a little body-heat left", Zane answered calmly.

Time skip 55 min

When they got back to the Destiny's Bounty after burying Jay's corpse Cole tried to solve the mystery.
He walked to the bathroom to wash his hands, he was the one who dug a hole to bury Jay's body and put him there! But what he saw was very odd. He saw stains of blood in one of the basins. He washed his hands, brushed his teeth and walked out of the bathroom.

'I can ask somebody to help me investigate, but I know that the murderer is on the Bounty so I have to get help from the outside' Cole thought while he changed to pj's in their room.

"Cole. Cole? Coolee?" Kai called and waved his hand in front of his face, hanging from his upper bunker.

"Huh? What?" Cole asked and looked up at him with a frown.

"Are you... Okay?" Lloyd asked and stood up from his bed.

'No I'm not, what do you think? JAY DIED! REMEMBER?!' he thought but remained calm.

"Of course I'm okay! Why do you wonder?" Cole asked back.

'Maybe a little too entusiastic, and nervous, dammit!'

Zane looked at them all, one after the other. Then he stood up from his bed and started to walk out of their room.

"Hey!" Kai shouted to him. He froze.

"What?" Zane asked Kai, but did not turn around.

"Where're you goin'?" Kai asked and raised an eyebrow.

"To Pixal", he answered shortly and walked away.

"Hey Zane wai-" Cole started but Zane had already left the room, leaving the remaining boys behind.

"Something is wrong", Cole said and looked around. Lloyd and Kai stared at him, then at each other.

"I have to talk to my dad", Lloyd said and slowly walked away. He gave an 'I have an eye on you two' glare at them before he left. Kai glared at Cole, who just raised his eyebrows.

"I know who the murderer is", Kai mumbled.

"What? Who?" Cole asked.

"It's you!" Kai yelled and jumped out of his bed and took the closest thing to him, which was a knife on the floor. Cole backed up a little and raised his hands.

"Kai, where do you think that knife comes from?" Cole questioned, a little confused. "Shouldn't it be in the training room or in the kitchen?"

Kai looked at the knife briefly and shrugged. Then he realized why Cole asked. He dropped the knife to the floor and stared wide-eyed on Cole.

"I know who the murderer is", Cole said, holding back his proud on his little detective work.
