I started packing on Friday morning singing along to the radio, checking off the items off my list.

Bug spray check, towel check, a flannel for when it gets cold out, sunscreen check, charger check.

I put it all into my beach bag and then i headed over to my closet. Trying to decide what to wear, i settled on some cut offs and a tank top. I put my bikini on underneath and sighed in satisfaction. I headed downstairs and heard my moms cheery humming. But what made me more excited; the smell of her making pancakes.

"Goodmorning honey how did you sleep?" She asked i said good and dug into the pancakes. After I cleared my plate I headed out to put my stuff in our car. A few minutes later we were on our way.

Church volunteers had already set up the barbeques and everyone was already enjoying themselves. My mom headed towards her book club members, my dad to the grills.

I headed towards my friends and we all immediately headed to the water. We all laughed and talked all the way to the dock. A splash war ensued and us girls lost badly but it was fun either way. We all sat on the dock dipping our feet in the water just enjoying the peace and the sunshine. Until we decided to get up for a drink.

I hopped up and suddenly i felt two hands on my back, Kody. He pushed me in and then everyone broke into laughter. I looked around quickly and flipped him off.

He chuckled to himself. Then dove in beside me.

The temperature started to cool so we all decided it was time. We all headed to grab a burger and warm up by the bonfire. 

It got darker and the stars came out. Then campfire songs started. I grabbed my sweatshirt and put it on over my swim suit. I decided to go for a walk down by the lake and Kody followed.

As soon as we were out of view he held my hand as we walked. He joked around as we walked and kissed my head. All was well until we heard it.

Thunder, within seconds we were getting drenched. We ran to the nearest shelter. It was an old boat shed the door didn't close but it was better than being in the rain. He sat down and i sat between his legs shivering. We sat watching the storm i could feel his heart beating.
I looked at him and he smiled at me. His hair was messy from the rain. I kissed him. Slowly, i turned to face him. He laughed a little and pulled me closer. I pulled away and stared at him. I slowly slid my sweatshirt up my torso. He slid it off my shoulders and slowly kissed me. I pulled off his shirt and he laid it down behind me. He kissed me laying me on his shirt, getting over me. He gently pulled at the strings that held my swimsuit on. His fingers skated across my bare skin.

He pulled away from me, "I love you Kourtney. You're beautiful but we dont have to".
I nodded, "I want to Kody, I love you."

He smiled and after that I pulled his lips back to mine. I undid his pants, pulling them down by the belt loops. His mouth left a trail of kisses down my body.

He went slow, it hurt at first but i didnt care. I wanted to feel closer to him.

We got re dressed and he hugged me. "I love you Faith", he whispered into my ear.
"I love you too Kody" I smiled. The storm had eased up so we headed back to the group.

Everyone was frantically packing up so we helped and then headed our separate ways.

What happened that night was our secret
