Chapter 6: Talk is Cheap

We entered the laser tag place and went to pay for a game.

"Can we have 5 rounds of laser tag please?" Princeton asked as he reached for his wallet.

"Sure that'll be $10 per person which is a total of $80."

"Thank you." Princeton said as he handed the man the money.

"Have a good time with your little girlfriends." The man said with a smirk. That caused all of us to blush. Wow did he really think that we all dated I asked myself. We entered the laser tag room. And 1 of the workers came out and started staring at Alexis.

"Mh hmm." Prodigy cleared his throat signaling the boy to stop staring. He snapped out of his trance and began to explain the rules to us. Man this is taking forever I thought to myself. He finally stopped explained and I let out a sigh of relief.

"So how are we going to break this group into teams?" He asked.

"I don't know. How do you think we should do it," Prodigy began to look for the boy's nametag.

"Ummm Tom?"

"Ohhhhh I know." Ray said he had an evil look on his face.

"How about boys verses girls?" He suggested.

"Yeah that's a dope idea." Princeton agreed.

"We about to whoop y'all tails" Roc said looking our way.

"Oh really?" Kendra retorted.

" Well talk is cheap. So why don't y'all show us instead of telling us." I replied.

"Ooooooooooo" Alexis said adding a little snap.

"How do you like your apple skins, fried or crispy?" Nakyiah questioned.

Everyone turned around and gave her the WTF face.

"It was worth the shot." She said seeming slightly disappointed.

"Alright how about we start the game. I'm wasting money." Princeton added.

"Cheap scape." Ray said under his breath.

"I call red!" Prodigy yelled as he ran for the red set of vests and guns.

"I guess we get blue." Alexis said.

"Nah, I thought we got orange." I said sarcastically laughing a little. She just shot me a glare.

We suited up and the game began.

It was the last round. We had 2 and the boys had 2.

"Aye, Prod I got food!" I screamed and he came right into everyone's line of fire. We all began to shoot and the final buzzer rang.

"Damn, everytime." He said hanging his head.

"Wow Prod. You went out for food? Gullible." Roc said shaking his head.

"Now Roc don't make me put you on the spot." Prodigy said. Roc instantly got quiet.

Kendra, Alexis, Nakiyah, and I began to dance and sing "We beat you. You lost."

"Yeah good sportsmanship." Ray said with a sour look on his face.

"Don't hate." Nakyiah shot back.

"I'm hungry." Prodigy whined.

"You're always hungry." Roc replied. Prodigy gave him that look like nigga don't get me started.

"Where are we going next?" Ray asked.

"To the mall!" Princeton shouted as he dashed to the limo. We all ran behind him and hopped on. We were gonna go shopping.
