Peris PoV
I woke up the next morning to the sound of my mum calling my name telling me to get up for school, I quickly hid under the covers as she walked In and coughed a few times
"Pez come on you have school" my mum pulled at my covers "mum I feel really ill"I placed my hand on my forehead and coughed again
"You don't look too good actually, I'll ring school and tell them you won't be coming in today try and get some rest whilst I'm at work" she kissed the top of my head and walked to work I got out of bed and got dressed
From Nico : hey pez good luck today :)
11:30am
I looked down at my phone and smiled to Nicos message and finally had the courage to knock on the door which quickly flung open to reveal Frankie "peri shouldn't you be in school?!"
"Yes but I really needed to come whilst Tom isn't here" I sighed, Frankie looked at me in confusion
"I'm here to see my daughter" I smiled pushing my way past her and into the living room I saw Steph on the floor playing with her toys she noticed me and crawled over in excitement with her toy dog
"Hello gorgeous girl" I smiled at her as she tugged at the rim my dress I picked her up and cuddled her
"Peri this isn't a good idea, I think you should leave" Frankie tried to take my baby off me but I pulled her away from her "Frankie she's my daughter I have a right to see her"
"Right ok but you need to be gone by the time Tom gets home!" She marched up the stairs as I started to bond with the baby girl we spent hours playing with her toys especially the dog teddy which kind of brought us closer
3:20pm
Toms PoV
I arrived home on my own after Nico invited jade round hers for a movie night I knew Steph would be taking a nap right now so I opened the door quietly and walked into the living room where I noticed someone lying down I wasn't sure who it was so I went over to look
Peri was sleeping with Steph lying at the side of her also asleep with toys everywhere, but they both looked so peaceful. How could I stop peri from seeing her
"Peri?" I tapped her shoulder and she opened her eyes and turned to face me looking scared
"Tom I'm really sorry!" She cried picking up our daughter and placing her in her pram where she could continue to sleep
"It's ok" I sighed
"Really? I just wanted to spend some time with her" she sat down where I sat next to her
"You can see her" I finally said "what?" She asked facing me "Steph, you can see her" I watched her frown turn into a smile as she hugged me "thank you!"
Trust me we haven't hugged in a long time and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't missed it, she gave the best hugs when you were upset
"I know it's soon but could she stay at mine tonight please!i will walk her round before school tomorrow" she smiled releasing me "I'm not sure"
"Please just one night and see how we go?"
"One night" I sighed already regretting my words "thank you I'll pack a bag" she scurried off and within minutes came back with a full bag of things
"See you tomorrow princess" I kissed my daughters head and watched her leave with her mother..
I never thought I'd see the day
"Tom?" Frankie walked downstairs as I sat down my head in my hands "where's peri and the baby?"
"Peri has taken her for the night. I'm going to find jade" I didn't want to talk to her she gets on my nerves when it comes to peri and Steph and how she hates the fact she left me on my own or the fact I should have made her stay, trust me she's a living nightmare to live with

"Nico.." I smiled as she opened her door and smiled to me "Tom you looking for jade? She's upstairs come up" she let me through as I walked into her grey all over house which I liked because it was so modern. I saw my girlfriend sat on the sofa, they must have been watching a film or something which I've clearly interrupted but I sat down next to her
"So Tom where's the baby" Nico asked pouring me a drink or orange then sitting I between me and jade pushing us both apart
"Peri has got her" I smiled, Nico dropped my drink on the floor before it got to my hand as she smiled bigger than ever "you mean peri has Steph? As in her mum as in peri lomax?" She squealed I nodded in confusion
"Tom why would you leave her with someone as careless as peri?!" Jade almost yelled "she's her mum jade" jade rolled her eyes
"I just remembered I have.. To pick my.. Minnie! Up from nursery for Maxine" Nico turned the film of and got up opening the door for us to leave, jade got up and walked out I followed before Nico grabbed my arm pulling me back
"Nico?!"
"Look listen" she began "peri has been wanting this for a long time please don't ruin this for her.. She wants you three to be a family again please don't tell her I told you she swore me to secrecy" she begged
"Please just go and see her spend some time the three of you as a family"
Peris PoV
"Well hello trouble" Mercedes McQueen walked towards me down the village as I pushed my daughters pram along the road to my house
"Hi mercy" I smiled to her she smiled down to my baby
"I see you have Steph, it's good to see you try and be a mum to her" Mercedes cooed at my daughter as I also did
"I don't know what I was ever thinking leaving her behind"
"Well that's the past what's happening now is what's most important" she smiled walking away

"Peri what were you thinking I thought you were meant to be ill-" my mum turned around as soon as she heard the door shut she instantly stopped talking as soon as she saw Steph
"Peri?" She asked "I'm looking after her for tonight" I smiled picking her up
