"Right that's the final bag, are you sure this is what you definitely want to do?" Mum asked me loading my case into the car
"Yes, right now I just need to be with my daughter and try and rest able my relationship with Tom, it's all I've been thinking about since I got home last month and the A-Level results at this college means I can go to a decent uni with the grades, mum it's what I want" I replied, this was a new start for me I've had to many bad memories in Hollyoaks village this was what I needed to move on and forget everything and create new memories with my little family
"Pez!" I heard as I was about to step foot in the car to see Nico running over to see goodbye
"Go live your life and don't forget to FaceTime me everyday and visit on the every holiday!" She said pulling me into a teary eyed hug
"I will don't worry. Please come and see us when you can" I replied, I'm really going to miss her she's the one reason why I'd stay here if it wasn't for my daughter
"Go, ring me when you get there and update me on every social media platform" she ushered me into the car as my mum took the drive down to London.
The excitement was unreal, I was about to spend every day with my child and ace my a-levels at a new college where I'll meet hopefully new friends
Around 4 hours later we finally arrived at the apartment me and mum stepped out into my new environment I felt so at home and it felt so normal as though this is where I am meant to be.
"You're here!" Tom ran outside taking a box off me and kissing my forehead "come on let's get you inside"
We spent a good hour unboxing my things and sending the boxes into my new bedroom before saying a sad farewell to my mum. As much as she wasn't sure this was the best idea I've ever had, all she wanted was for me to be happy and I'm glad that she can accept that at last, although it will take her time to get used to being called grandma
"Can I see her?" I asked referring to Steph after Leela has left, she'd been taking a nap since I arrived a couple of hours earlier
"Peri you don't need to ask, she is your daughter after all" he chuckled
"Sorry I'm just so used to it, I don't think it's clicked that she's mine yet still" but it was true I've spent so long watching from a distance or having to ask for permission to see her that it's never really occurred to me that I can just go and see her and hold her, she is my baby
I slowly walked into her room, for the first time as being her full time mum, the nerves were beginning to hit me that I was allowed to be responsible for her again. But them nerves soon were washed away as I saw her standing in her cot grinning that toothless smile at me, I knew she'd forgiven me for leaving her all the, months ago
I smiled back at her picking her up gently, bringing her into the front room, where I met Tom and OB,
"You must be Peri! So nice to meet you I'm OB!" He smiled shaking my one available hand.
"Nice to meet you too!" I smiled back to him taking a seat next to Tom.
He walked off into his office before I turned my attention back to Tom.
"Who'd of thought at 16 we'd be living in London with a baby?" I laughed
