Running down the hall, I felt the air grow cold, and I could see my breath as I went along, forcing me to slow my movements to conserve body heat. "Its just a game, Quin." I muttered to myself, eyes straight forward. "You've beaten it before. Just keep going." I was so focused, that I didn't notice the pods until I almost ran into one. "Oh shit." I muttered, training my sights on the top of the pod, which pulsed slowly, almost like a heartbeat. "You're not gonna get me, you little fuckers." Edging around the pods,I saw that I was in a room covered in slime. "Ah crap." I groaned, looking at my monitor. The screen showed two blips to my right. Slowly turning, I watched as the blips positioned themselves in front of the triangle that was me.

Slowly looking up,I saw Victor and Ivan attached to the wall, covered in frozen slime and unconscious, but virtually unhurt. Dancing around the closed pods positioned in front of the two, I rushed over, trying to wake them. "Victor! Come on! Wake up!" I hissed loudly, smacking his cheek. Turning to Ivan, I smacked his cheek, then shook him. "Ivan! Mevrick! Wake your ass up!" Getting no response, I stepped back in disgust. "Damn it." Hearing a small, slimy noise behind me, I turned around to see the pod in front of me slowly open, and a small, crab like creature with a wicked long tail crawl out, stopping right at the edge. Not hesitating,I lit the Facehugger up with a short burst of fire, killing it quickly. The thing inside the ship screamed again, and it sounded closer, but still a good distance off. "You don't like that, do ya, you oversized cockroach?" I bellowed, lighting up the pods in front of me, earning a louder scream, forcing me to cover one ear.

Now I had her attention...

Reaching into my pocket instinctively, I pulled out a small gas container. Looking at it,I felt a nerve in my head being close to snapping, just barely holding on to that last bit of sanity. "You wanna play games, John?" I yelled, holding up the gas. "Fine! I'll play games too! Just be warned when I kick your ass from Hell to Limbo and back, just remember why." I changed the gas containers, imagining how I would kill Glitch.

Ripping off the weakened slime, I pulled Victor off the wall, searching his pockets, until I found a small, futuristic needle. "Sorry man. I'm going to need this more." I said, planning on keeping the two of them out of danger until we left this game. I heard Ivan groan, and I yanked him down, easing him to the floor. "Q..Quin? Where are we?" Ivan asked, looking around. "Alien Isolation. You and Vic got grabbed. You're lucky I saved your asses." Ivan shook his head, then looked up at me. "Whats the plan?" He asked, rising unsteadily to his feet. "We kill the Queen." I said, making Ivan's usually tan face pale considerably. "How the hell are we gonna kill the mother of the Xenomorph?" He said, walking over to Victor, and sat him up, shaking him lightly. "I don't know, but we gotta move. Momma ain't to happy right now." Ivan looked up at the charred FaceHugger pods, and his jaw dropped. "You didn't..." he said, picking up Victor, who had just now recovered. "Yea... I did." I said, walking over to Ivan.

I shoved the monitor at Ivan, and forced Victor's head up. "Victor. We're going to need that crazy version of you that saved Aliesa and me back with Jack. Can you do that when the moment is right?" Victor looked directly into my eyes, and I saw no signs of unfocused light in there. "Just point me in the right direction." He said. Ivan suddenly laughed, causing both of us to jump. "Victor! You got a pistol in your back pocket!" Ivan pulled out a really big revolver from behind Victor, and handed it to him. "Great! Now we can shoot the Queen as we get our asses stabbed." Victor grumbled, checking the loads and snapping it shut, satisfied that he had ammo. "But what about me?" Ivan asked, worried now. Reaching for Ivan, I pulled a lanyard out from under his shirt and waved it. "Instant access pass, man. You are our one shot at striking first." Looking between Ivan and Victor, I felt proud to call these two crazy ass people my friends, and I only hoped that Aliesa was OK back home, where ever she was.
