According to the file on Mirabilia Faba, the bean itself was similar to the Hawaiian Kona beans. Ancient legends told of rituals performed by the natives at the time who worshipped the plants for the magical elixir it allowed them to brew. This was, of course, coffee. One day, however, the Mauna Loa volcano, where the beans were grown, erupted violently. All Mirabilia Faba plants were destroyed in the lava, except for one bean, which was saved from the fire by an old medicine man. According to the legends, he then built a temple in the heart of the volcano, and dedicated the bean to Pele, the goddess of the volcano. In return, she blessed the bean with eternal longevity, allowing the medicine man to brew as much coffee as he wished, and vowed that the temple would never be harmed by the volcano's lava. Sadly, the old man carried the location of the temple to his grave. This is where Indiana Jones came in...
Indy put down the folder with a smile on his face. Hawaii! Ah, if only he were in his 20's again... But relaxation was not the reason for his trip. He was on official government business. This meant that he would have no time for beaches and tiki torches. He sighed and picked up his suitcase. He did have a flight to catch, after all.
