---------------------------------------------------One Month Later---------------------------------------------------
Ashton and I were the last ones out of the house. We walked in silence for a good ten minutes. "Brin, I wanted to say, thank you for the advice. It's working so far, and sometime this week, I think I'll pounce on her like a puma."
I laugh. "Yeah, you're welcome. But, you should re-consider 'pouncing' on her. She'll think you're insane. Just stick to asking her on a date."
He laughed with me. "Yeah," he said in agreement. His face lit up. "I remember, you never told me the special someone on your mind."
Oh joy, he remembered.
I don't even think about Niall anymore. Lies. I think it got worse. There was just something about him that intrigued me. I honestly don't know what it was, it just did.
"I don't think about that person anymore," I lie. He can tell I'm lying, but doesn't question me.
"See ya," I say as we go our separate ways as we finally get on school campus.
"Bye," he responded.
The day dragged on. I sat in my fifth period class, listening to a boring lecture on Abraham Lincoln. I raise my hand. "Yes?" the teacher acknowledges me.
"May I go to the restroom?" I ask. She nods and continues the lecture. I walk out into the hall way. I didn't need to go, it was just an excuse to get out of that class. I start walking towards the bathroom, when I hear the louder sound of something being pushed against the locker.
I peer my head around the corner, seeing Niall holding up some kid. Looked like a Sophomore. He punched the kid in the face, repeatedly, until the kid was able to dodge, making Niall's fist collide into the locker.
He quickly pushed him against it again. I start to back up, not wanting to see more of the blood on the two. I hate blood, it makes me want to throw up. While I backed up, I backed straight into a locker. Making a huge ruckus.
"Who's there?" Niall yelled. I remain silent. "If you don't show yourself, I'll beat you up next." In absolute terror I stepped around the corner into Niall and the boys sight. Niall let go of the boy, and the boy sprinted off.
"Look, I don't know how much of that you saw, but I'm sorry. That kid owes me money, and he is refusing to pay me back. I just really need that money."
I nod my head. "Sorry, if I scared you," he said.
"It's fine. Follow me."
He followed me to the girl's bathroom. "What are we doing in here?" he questioned. I grab his hand and start to clean it in the sink. "I made a goal at my church, to do one good deed daily. So, I want to help you, and I hate blood so I'm getting this out of my sight." I explain.
I saw him smile as I told him that. We walked out after everything was cleaned up. "Wait here," I tell him when we were outside the nurses office. I limped in.
"Hi, I'm coming from gym and I sort of sprained my ankle. Could I have some ice?"
The nurses hands me an ice pack and I fake limp out. Once I was out of the nurses sight, I handed Niall the ice pack for his fist. He smiled. "Impressive."
"Thank you," I say before walking back to class. I slipt in and I think the teacher forgot I was even out. I completely zone out as I take in all the events of what occurred.
Sure, I just saw Niall, beat someone up, but just seeing me, he instantly calmed down. What's that supposed to mean?
