It was now Sunday morning and we were all on our way to church. My parents both got back last night. It's hard to think that a week flew by so fast. It's also hard to think how much my life changed in that week.

We go through the usual routine, and enough church is over. I was walking with Marcel and Sarah as we walked out of the class. "So really, we're only ten signatures away from no uniforms?"

"Yep," she said.

"Nice," Marcel replied.

They walk off to fin their parents as I wait for mine in the main room. My dad was saying goodbye to everyone like usual. But, I might be crazy, but when Jenna and her family was talking to him, his face changed. It seemed surprised, confused, and a little bit of anger.

I ignore it and wait with my brothers. We piled in the car once everyone was gone. My dad didn't say a word the whole ride. He is usually talking about what some people said to him or singing along with the radio. But he was dead silent.

We all were in the kitchen eating lunch when he finally talked. "Brinlee?"

I look at him. "Yeah?"

"I heard something today that involved you. A boy and you."

I put a confused look on, even though I knew what he was talking about. I talked to Cassidy and her family. Cassidy told me you were going out with... a boy named Niall Horan. Now here comes the funny part. I thought she was pulling my leg, but Jenna walked up to me with them same story."

"That's because we got into an argument and they're both really mad at me. So they are making stuff up so I could get in trouble. They don't have any proof I was seen with Niall. They made the whole thing up." I lie.

My father nodded, pulling out his phone. "This proof enough for you?"

I look at the picture. Me and Niall kissing on Friday before he left. "Oh,"

"So you are dating him?"

"Yeah. Kind of,"

"Why, he is a rude, idiotic sinner. With WAY to many tattoos..."He trailed on about Niall, but I zoned out. He's judging him by his looks. I go back to paying attention when he said, "You can go now,"

I turn and that's when he said. "You're grounded and I don't want to see you kissing anyone. Especially Niall again."

I keep walking. I get up stairs and I see I got a text from Jenna an Cassidy. Jenna said "Whoops dis you not want your dad to know?" Then Cassidy said "You're welcome."

Ugh. I hate them. I lay down and I got a text from Niall. We texted for hours until he said 'Meet me at Minnie' s in 20?xxx"

I reply back with 'Can't I'm grounded ):'

'What if I come over? Xxx'

'Nah. I'll try to get Minnie' s in 20'

'Woah. My little rebel! See you in 20'

'See ya'

I turn my phone off, and open the window. That's when my mom walked in. She pulled me into a hug. When we pulled apart, she handed me a 20. I look at her. "I did the same thing as a teen. But know one was there for me, and I should be here for you,"

"Thank you so much," I said smiling at her. I start climbing down the house, I can't believe that just happened. After the short fifteen minute walk, I walk into the little cafe owned by Minnie, I saw Niall sitting at a booth, on his phone.

I walk over and sit down across from him. He looked up at me and smiled. "Hey," I said.

"What's up my little rebel?"

I smile at that little joke.

That night was my first act of rebellion and I would say I liked it.
