Brinlee' s POV
"Ugh! I totally forgot that I had the orphanage volunteer thingy!" I said realizing that it was Friday.
"Can you miss today?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"No, I forgot about it last week and I can't go two weeks without going," I explain.
"Okay, calm down, go get ready and I'll drive you," Niall said.
All I had time for was to run upstairs. I quickly replace my pajamas with clothes, run a brush through my hair and brush my teeth.
Running back down the stairs, Niall and I rushed out the door. "Which orphanage?" He asked.
"Baker' s," I answer.
"I know where that is," he said as we both climbed onto his motorcycle. As we took off, relief ran through my body.
We were soon at the familiar orphanage on Baker Street. Niall and I walked in and I saw Sarah, behind the desk. She both smiled at us. "Hey guys. I haven't seen you here in a while."
"Yeah, I know. It totally slipped my mind."
"It's fine," she said. "You guys can on in."
We both walked behind the counter, and through the door. Niall smiled as we walked down the hallway filled with their art work. "Wow, a lot has changed." He said. I look at him.
"You've been here before?"
"Yeah, I used to volunteer here."
"When?"
"Last year. I wasn't busy at all so I thought I'd volunteer here. I doubt they remember me."
He opened the door that was at the end of the hall, and I heard a little boy's voice that said, "Niall? Is that you?" Niall smiled. "Yeah. Hi Tommy, I haven't seen you in a while."
A few more kids walked up to him and saying hi. He knew just about all of them and this was one of the cutest things ever. While Niall played with the kids, the other lady asked me to file the worksheets and projects in the filing cabinet.
A few rounds of hide and seek, and then Niall started saying goodbye to the kids. We walked out of the room and I immediately started talking. "Oh my goodness! That was so adorable!" He blushed slightly. "Seriously, you should come with me every Friday because that was so cute!"
He smiled, "Yeah, I'll defiantly come back next week with you." I smiled. "Bye guys!" Sarah said, still at the front desk.
"Bye," I said with a wave.
"Bye."
We walked out side of the orphanage and as we walked, Niall latched his pinkie onto mine, eventually holding my hand all together. I smile at this action, through the parking lot, to the motorcycle.
As we got on, I realized tomorrow is the last day before the family comes back.
