"Hey Izzy, What's up?" Simon could hardly think with all the racket that Eric was making behind him.
"Er Simon, should I call you back? Are you busy?" Isabelle answered hesitantly.
"What? I can't hear you - STOP YOUR SHITTY DRUMMING FOR ONE MINUTE ERIC...URGH!! I'll call you back later Izzy Okay?" Simon screamed into his phone. Even with his vampire abilities, he couldn't hear anything past Eric's awful drumming
"Sure thing." Isabelle replied, but only after Simon had hung up. In every relationship Isabelle had been in - serious or not- she was the one who hung up first; she was the control freak; she was the one who dumped people- not the other way round. But with Simon, she didn't know what to do; she didn't know how to act. This was a new and dangerous feeling for Isabelle.

"Love?!" Magnus spat, "You call this love? You don't even know what it is! You're merely a pathetic teenager whereas I have experienced love, heartbreak and many many more of such strong emotions that would have shattered you in my 900 years! I was a fool. " His usual cheery, bright self was replaced by a red-in-the-face, watery eyed warlock.
"I thought you were 400 years old," Alec whispered looking at Magnus' feet, ashamed to show his wet face. He had long given up on defending himself, he knew that now, Magnus would hear nothing past his rage, not even his lover's reasonings.
"I meant 9-no-400 years!" Magnus sputtered, "You'rd changing the the topic!!" After a few minutes of awkward silence, Magnus quietly said,"I thought you loved me. It hasn't changed anything Alexander. I still love you but you know what is best for us, you know that however much I love you, I can't stand to look at your face anymore so if I ever find you on my premises again, I might just have to explain to your mother why you are suddenly a blue-eyed goldfish." Without saying anything more, Magnus slammed the door on his ex-boyfriend's face. Alec finally looked up onto the door that now looked like it was smirking at him, oblivious to the fact that his warlock was weeping as silently as he could behind the door that separated them. He then startled himself by letting out a small sob, but he decided that now was not the time, nor was this the place to let out his emotions. Alec turned around and walked back to the New York Institute, back to where Magnus overheard him speaking to Jace, back to where Magnus had begun to think that Alec was seeing someone else...
