it had been a few days since dan messaged phil. just because it said his phone was off/disconnected, doesn't mean dan didn't try and message him anyways. even though phil had only briefly spoken to him (aka telling him to stop), dan still missed him. phil had posted a video a few days back to explain that he was taking a break off youtube for a week or two, which made dan miserable as phil was the only person he really talked to. in reality, dan's parents despised dan and abused him, physically and mentally, and talking to phil helped dan, not by much, but it helped him. dan wasn't planning on ever telling anyone what happens to him, especially phil.
