24 - Time for the red carpet

The day was here. The day I was actually going to a red carpet, together with Benedict Cumberbatch who happens to be my boyfriend.

I had butterflies in my stomach, my palms were sweating and my breath was shaking.

"It's going to be fine, you'll do great out there," Amanda said as she was fixing my make-up.

"It's just a lot to take in," I responded while trying to keep my head still.

"I know, but trust me on this. I remember my first night at the carpet. I was bloody nervous, but I managed with Martin's help. You have Ben, and he'll do anything to make sure you're okay."

I smiled to what she said, and it did make me feel better.

Martin and Ben was down in the living room, awaiting us.

While Amanda finished my make-up, I admired myself in the mirror. I never thought I'd own a dress like this one. It was a beautiful, blue colour with a split on the left side with one strop, going over the right shouder with decorations on the left side (photo).

Next up, was my hair. To the dress, it suited best if I had it loose. Therefore, Amanda only added some hairspray because my hair's already curly so there was no need for that.

"You look absolutely gorgeous!" Amanda said when she was all done.

It was time for us to go, so Amanda went to the living room first.

When the boys saw her, they got up from the couch.

"You better hold on because she is just beautiful," Amanda said with a smile and walked over to them, standing beside her husband.

I took a deep breath before coming out of the bathroom and in to the others.

When they saw me, Ben's and Martin's jaw dropped.

Ben and I hadn't seen each other since noon so I didn't know what he would wear. But he was just as handsome as always. He wore a sexy, black suit and tie with a white shirt. His hair was quite different. It was no longer curly, but slid back, and it looked so shiny. I can't believe he's my boyfriend!

Ben walked towards me, holding out his hands and cleary having a hard time to speak the words he wanted to say.

"I need an angel's voice to tell you just how magnificent you look tonight," he said with a big smile.

I blushed, "I have to say you look quite dashing in that suit," I replied as I fiddled with his tie.

He leaned down and gave me a kiss.
"You ready?" he asked.

I took another deep breath and nodded.

When we looked back at Martin and Amanda, they both smiled big.

"I'm so glad you two got together," Martin said.

I smiled at it and looked up at Ben who placed his hand around my waist and gave me a loving, warm smile.

"You two are so gonna be the cutest and hottest couple tonight," Amanda said.

Ben chuckled as a car honked outside.

"Well, we should get going," he said and opened the door for the rest of us.

Amanda gave me a hug before walking to her car with Martin.

Another car stood beside theirs - a black mercedes just as shiny as Ben's hair.

The driver came out, greeted Ben and opened the back seat door.
