I Love You

His hand in mine
Fits like a glove
I love you.

His lips pressed on mine
Fireworks set off
I love you.

You shout and you weep
My fingers wipe away the tears
I love you.

You see me at my best and worst
Yet you still accept me
I love you.

You get down on one knee
My eyes wet as I say I do
I love you.

We argue and we bicker
With a makeup kiss later
I love you.

Puddles of despair
With the news of the doctors
I love you.

Years go by
Decades rush past
I love you.

Still no small pitter-patter
Just you and I
I love you.

His hands shakily
Feeding me food
I love you.

Our wrinkles
Our gray hair
I still love you.

Last thing I see
Is him as I always say
"I'll always love you"
