Darkness was never the first choice of anybody. Neither would I want to choose the dark side. Who would want to be half blind anyways?
But it was never my choice to begin with.
It was never my choice to be pulled into a world of only shades.
But when I thought that was the darkest it could get, life came at me and sent me to my darkest hour yet.
The day couldn't get any darker. It was enough to see differently, the dark skies only added to my misery.
As the clouds roared with thunder the rain fell on the ground. Everyone was wearing black in contrast with the skies as well as I. The only one happy enough to wear white was my beautiful mother who lay in the closed coffin, free from shackles and vices of this cruel world.
Unlike the others, I didn't have an umbrella in hand.
Why bother? I thought. I've felt enough pain to make myself numbed from the cold.
As they lowered her coffin down the oversized hole I felt my senses come back. I felt pain immediately like being stabbed over and over and over and over again.
I fell to the damp ground. My tears were disguised by the rain.
And when it was all over,
The darkness once again began.
And this time,
There were no light left.
