Bait

Zoe  POV

Niomi and Chloe both dragged me into the other room. "Right Zoe I know this will be scary and frightening but you are not going to be the only bait" Niomi said. "Bait?" I asked confused. "Zoe me and you are going to let the snake take on of us and then the rest of us are going to be following you" Chloe said. "What so the water snake will decide whether to take me or you" I said. "Yes" Niomi said. "And don't worry it will most likely take me because it knows who is the real mermaid and who isn't"  Chloe said. "Ok" I said, "do you know who is controlling it?" I asked. "No but whoever it is obviously hates mermaids" Chloe said. "Ok phew" I said. "Right I am ready to become a mermaid" I said. "They got more water from the kitchen tap that formed a platform underneath me. It lifted me up and a light shone through my chest. I was then put down. "Ok lets go beat a snake" I said.

Joe POV

We all walked to the beach and then we walked towards the water. "After three we all dive underneath" Chloe instructed. "Ok three, two, one" she said. We all ran and dived under. I felt tingling in my legs and then a big tail formed. I looked around me and saw Marcus, Zoe, Niomi and Chloe all had their tails too. We all followed Niomi and she led us to a surface place.

Chloe POV

I came up for air and I mind messaged Dan:

C: Dan where are you?

D: Chlo

C: Dan Dan hello

D: Hi we are in a cave and we are tied up and for some reason our tails aren't drying.

C: Jeez ok we are coming

D: Please hurry I think me and Phil are getting dehydrated.

C: Right coming.

"Guys we need to go quick" I said. "Why?" Zoe asked. "Dan and Phil are getting dehydrated" I said. "What does that mean" Marcus asked. "They could die" Niomi said. "Well come on then what are we waiting for" Joe said. We all dived underneath again and we quickly used our ultra swim to get to Dan and Phil.

Dan POV

I looked over at Phil. He was not going to make it and I knew that. I just stared blankly at the water. I saw 5 tails swim up to the side. It was Chloe, Niomi, Joe, Marcus and Zoe. Wait how did they get tails? "Hey we are going to get you in the water as soon as we can" Chloe said. "Ok how did you guys get tails" I asked. "Long story which we don't have time for now" Niomi said. "Ok" I said. Joe and Marcus grabbed me and rolled me into the water whilst Chloe undid my knots above me. I fell under deep. I felt two pairs of arms grab me and bring me up to the surface. I gasped for air. "What's wrond with Phil?" I asked, worried. "Where is he  whats taken him" I said. "Dan I'm here don't stress" Phil said. I turned around and hugged him. I was happy he survived. "Lets go beat this snake" Chloe said. We all discussed the plan.

Chloe POV

We all dove under and I swam and then I felt a strong thing around my tail. KIt was the snake. It dragged me away. I mind messaged Niomi:

C: Niomi its got me.

N: Great the plans working.

C:I will tell you when I get to where it is taking me.

N: Ok
