Weekend Away

Visitors

It was a cool summer morning and Cody and Jensen were siting at their little table watching the sunrise.
"we have a few people coming over today."
" I know Lily texted me last night. Who's all coming?"
"well Lily, Charlie, Jack, Vanessa and Robert said they'd love to stop by today."
"great the whole squad! I miss them all so much!"
" yea me too angel. I'm gonna grab a shower, why don't you take my car to grab some groceries because the only thing we have in the fridge is a week old chicken sandwich."
he suggested as he walked by and gave you a peck on the cheek.
" yea we should really throw that out."
Jensen grabbed the keys off the shelf and hoped in the car, she was half way to the store when she realized she forgot her phone. Which seems to be a common theme with her. She frantically checked her purse but of course it's not there, but she does see Cody's phone sitting on the back seat that they must have left in the car from last night.
Oops. we gotta stop with the car sex. it's just so juvenile.
She thought as she reached for the cell phone and put it in her pocket. She walked into the store and got drinks, food, movies and a inflatable boat that was on sale. In the line for the check out Jensen heard Cody's phone buzz in her pocket. it was a text from herself or Cody on her phone.

Angel:
I see you forgot your phone again. Did you get mine out of the back seat? I wonder how it got there ;)

Jensen giggled at her boyfriend
but when she goes to answer the text there's a password.
that's weird he's never had a password on his phone. and if he did he would tell me. wouldn't he?
She took a wild guess and keyed in 'angel' and it worked.
why would he put a password oh his phone now? it makes no sense.
Jensen was pulled from her thoughts as the lady at the cash ask for debit or credit. She walked back out to the car texting Cody that she was on her way home. She decided not to mention the password, it wasn't a huge deal and she knows it now so she decided to leave it alone. When she pulled in the driveway she saw 2 other cars there as well indicating that their friends had arrived. when she parked the car Lily and Vanessa came out to help bring things in from the car.
"thank you guys so much I think I got a bit much but I'm sure we'll eat it."
"oh yea totally the guys have been complaining about food the last hour so they'll eat this in no time"
Vanessa said while carrying in the last bag of groceries. When Jensen walked inside she was met with more hugs and ' i missed you's from all the guys, she glanced over at Cody who was petting his cat Puss.
"Oh my god! they brought Puss! I was beginning to think you weren't taking him down Cody"
" I would never leave him home how could you have such little faith in me angel"
Jensen giggled at his remarks and went to the kitchen to help Robert and Charlie put food in the cupboard, but they mostly just ate everything.
At around 9 the boys wanted to head down to the beach and break out the raft Jensen had bought.
"Here Jack, you and Cody take down the raft once it's full and we'll meet you down there ok?"
"sure thing girls"
Jensen, Lily and Vanessa then started walking down toward the beach.
"so Lily you find a job yet?"
" yea actually I just started working at a hair Salon back home"
" awesome Lil! what about you Vanessa?"
" no nothing yet, but my mom believes I just haven't found the right 'fit' yet, I think I'm just incapable of doing work though."
" I would say something encouraging but you are literally incapable of doing work Vanessa."
" I know! it's hilarious."
The girls had just stepped into the beach when Cody and Jack came hurdling down the stairs with the raft. They ran straight for the water running past Charlie and Robert who quickly followed after them. The girls walked to the shore as the boys loaded into the raft.
"Where are you guys going?"
Vanessa asked as they floated farther from shore.
"to that island out there."
Robert pointed to a small island about a kilometre away.
"we'll be back soon ok?"
Cody shouted as they paddled toward the island.
"yea they won't be back for awhile, you guys want to walk around the beach?"
suggested Lily, they all agreed and walked the length of the beach as the sun dipped out of sight.

When Cody returned with the guys it was almost 11:30, the girls had started a small fire and were roasting marshmallows.
"So much for 'we'll be back soon'"
"haha sorry Jen me and the boys lost track of time"
Cody explained as they dragged the raft onto the beach.
"it's ok we've been having a great time. marshmallow?"
Jensen pulled a marshmallow from her stick and held it up behind her head as Cody walked by, eating it out of her hand before throwing the football to Charlie.
"you two have to be the cutest thing I've ever seen"
"oh stop Van you know I'll blush like crazy"
"seriously, girl sometimes I wish Charlie was that affectionate"
Vanessa whispered.
"what was that babe?"
Charlie said walking over to the fire and sitting down followed by Cody, Jack and Robert.
"nothing sweety"
"I'll show you affection. come here"
"guys please don't have sex right now it would be weird for us"
Jensen said to the couple with a giggle. The for the next hour the friends sat and talked but their plans for the summer, Cody and Charlie took a walk down the beach. Lily, Robert and Jack decided they would head home leaving Vanessa and Jensen to tidy up the camp fire.
"hey Vanessa you wanna deflate the raft I'm gonna grab the boys stuff and head up."
"sure and I think I saw Cody's phone over over by the rocks."
"thanks"
Jensen grabbed all their stuff and walked over to the rocks for Cody's phone. She grabbed it and it buzzed, a text from Frank. Jensen suddenly recalled the voicemail and the weird feeling crept in again. Curiosity getting the best of her she unlocked the phone and read the text.

Frank:
hey Cody it's your best pal Frank Hart! It's weird you know, I call and text even leave you voicemails but I still get nothing from you? I was even about to give up on finding you when I came across one of your buddies, Charlie I think his name was. Anyways since he was kind enough to give me your exact location I think I'll drop by for a visit and finally get that long over due cash, and I'll finally meet your little girlfriend! see you soon I hope not to be disappointed.

what the hell? Cody owns this guy money? why does he sound so evil.
