I cut off my alarm, it was 5:40 in morning. I needed as much time as possible. I rolled out of bed, careful not to move Trey to hard. We sleep heavy and like kola bears, I placed our outfits on the end of my bed. I walked into the bathroom, showering making sure to use my nair. I hate when girls wear dresses and have a hairy body. I wet my hair, it was curling up I put some curling cream and mousse. By the time I was finished it was 6:30. Waking up Trey wasn't as bad as it usually was, I am grateful. I told him to go shower and brush his teeth. I walked down stairs, I looked and saw my mother passed out on the floor. I walked over to make sure she was still breathing, she was. I didn't see my father anywhere, which was a good thing. I put Trey's lunch in his book bag and signed his homework folder. I put our bags by the door, and walked back upstairs. "Desi, can you help me please?" Trey asked me, holding out his feet. He knew how to tie his shoes but, still had a little trouble. My phone began vibrating, it was a message from Will I am outside 😊🚗. I replied an okay, "Trey guess who is outside?" I asked him, brushing his hair. "Ms. Minnie?" He said, looking at me. I shook my head no, "Will is outside. He's gonna take us to get breakfast and then take you to school." I told closing my room door. His eyes lit up and ran down the stairs.

I locked the door, Trey ran to Will giving him a hug. "Hey little man, I like your shirt and watch" Will said opening the door pulling the seat for him to get in. "Thank you, Desi got it for me. Me and her are matching look." Trey said, pointing to me and climbing inside the car. Will looked at me, his mouth open wide. I can tell he was staring, even if he had shades on. "You look beautiful." He said, looking me up and down. "Thank you. You don't look to bad yourself." I told him, smiling and climbing in the car. He closed the door, walking over to his side. "Okay, what time does Trey have to be at school?" He asked, pulling out of my driveway. I told him 8:30, I turned on the radio Drake's Hotline Bling came on. Trey started to sing, he is a huge Drake fan.

The drive to IHop was short 10 minutes at most, the parking lot was practically empty. "Good it's not packed. Are you guys ready?" Will asked us, turning off the car. We said yes, I grabbed my phone and wallet. Will opened the door for me, he helped me out the car. I thanked him, fixing my dress making sure the back was up. Will helped Trey, he thanked him and fixed his clothes as well. He is the younger boy version of me. Trey ran to the sidewalk, opening the door for us. Will and I thanked him. "Welcome to IHop. How many?" the hostess asked, Will answered the hostess nodded and walked us to our table. Trey and Will decided to sit next to each other again. We sat by the window, an elderly couple was in front of us. "Okay. My name is Wendy and I'll be you waitress." she said placing the menus in front of us. We thanked her, she said she'll be back to take our orders. "Trey, do you want the silver five and chocolate milk or apple juice?" I asked him, when he didn't answer me, I saw him and Will playing a game of tic-tac toe on the kids menu. I tapped on the table to get their attention. "What do you want to eat?" I asked, once I got his attention. "Can I have the silver five and a chocolate milk please?" He said, I nodded he turned back to the game on the menu. I laughed and looked at my menu.

The waitress came back, taking our orders. I ordered Trey's meal, I ordered 3 pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream with a iced vanilla coffee. Will ordered a steak, with an omelet and a sweet tea. The football appetite is huge, I don't know how they don't get sick. Cause my best friend, she finna oh. Go best friend- my phone started ringing. It was either Channel or L'niya. We all made our ringtones the same so no one had to find different ringtones for each other. "Hey Destiny. I wanted to know if you need a ride to school?" Channel asked, I heard L'niya yell hey. "Hey. No I got a ride but, thanks boo." I told her. "A ride from who?" L'niya yelled, I must be on speaker. "A ride from friend and we stopped to get food." I told them, not wanting them to start making a big deal. "Is this friend white, name beings with a W and will be your next baby daddy?" Channel asked me, I rolled my eyes. "Yes, Yes and No." I told them. "Destiny is on a breakfast date how cute. Destiny and Will sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g!" They both yelled, my best friends the most childish people in the world. "Okay, first not a date. Second, Trey is here. And third, I'm not going to comment on the last part." I told them, causing them to yell. "Destiny Isabella Rodriguez. When you bring your black ass to school, you are giving us all the details from last night to this morning got it." Channel said, I know she was joking with a little bit of seriousness. I rolled my eyes, "Okay mom. I have to go food is here. Bye love you." I told them, they yelled a bye and love you. Our waitress placed our food and drinks down, we all thanked her. I reached to help Trey cut his food, "Desi, I got it. I am a big boy like Will." He said, and began cutting his food like Will. Will laughed, I rolled my eyes. We ate in a good silence, with a few jokes from Trey and Will. Wendy came back, with the check and asked it we wanted any drinks to go. We all said yes, I took the check from her, but Will snatched it from me. "I invited you guys, I pay." He said slipping his black card in the pocket, handing it to the waitress. I rolled my eyes, what is it with guys always paying. Like I know its suppose to be gentleman like but, sometimes the woman can pay. "I'll tip. But I could of easily paid." I told him, getting up from the table leaving her a $40 dollar tip. I am a big tipper because, I know how hard it is to be a waitress.

We pulled up to Trey school, "Do you want me to walk you to your class or you got it?" I asked Trey pulling the seat down so, he can get out. "I got it. Donovan will see you, he has a crush on you." Trey told me, putting on his book bag. I awed cause, I thought it was sweet. "Trey tell this Donovan kid that Destiny is mine, okay?" Will shouted from inside the car. I rolled my eyes for like the 6th time today and the day just started. "Okay bye. I love you. I'll pick you up today." I told him kissing his cheek. He wiped it off saying I'll give him cooties. "Bye Desi, love you. Bye Will, love you too." He said giving me a quick hug and fist pounding Will, running towards the school. "Bye buddy. Love you too. Remember what I told to tell Donovan!" Will yelled, we waited until Trey walked to the office to pull off. I realized what Trey said, I don't wanting him to get to close to Will because, Will and I still haven't moved from the acquaintance stage. I wanted to bring it up but, not unless Will brought it up. Unfortunately he didn't, I'll just have to wait to pick up Trey and ask him.

We pulled up to our school, everyone was staring at Will's car. Thank god for tinted windows. He parked by the other football players cars. He got out, and walked over to my side opening the door. People were just staring, like take a picture. I put my bag on shoulder, I wanted to just go to first period to get ready for the integration I will be getting in second period. Will walked with his arm around my waist. I already know this will be the talk of the school. People were whispering things like "Do they date?", "Will finally tasting the chocolate?" and one girl said, "Yes, finally a interracial couple." I actually smiled at that one. We walked past Samantha and her "friends", she was talking shit yet again. She a band aid on her nose, her nose was red. "Will is only using her because, she sucked his dick." I heard her whisper ever so loudly to her "friends". I rolled my eyes, I didn't really care what she said about me, as long as she keeps my brother out of her STD infested mouth we have no problems. "Aye Will, wait up!" Travis yelled, running towards us. We stopped, "Hey man. I see who you ran off with yesterday." He said motioning to me and Will. I blushed and started to walk away, when Will pulled me back kissing my hand. "I'll see you in first period beautiful." He whispered in my ear, I blushed and told them bye. Senior Year is gonna be a interesting one for sure.
