Destiny's POV

I pulled into my driveway, we were late. Noah and Ezra decided to go home first not wanting to smell like sweat, they then had problems finding an outfit. I had to remind that they weren't going on dates but, just dinner.

"Finally Destiny, we were about send a search party." My mom said, walking over to me and hugged me. The last time I was hugged by my mom was when I was 13, it felt nice to have that motherly protection. "Yeah, what happened?" My dad asked from his seat, he's head turned to me along with Peter's. "We had something to take care of, anyway can we eat now?" I asked, walking to the couch laying my stuff down. "In a few, Thomas (Coach) isn't here yet." My mom said, walking into the kitchen. I saw my dad send her daggers as she walked in. "I can text him if you want?" I asked to no one particular. My dad and Peter turned to me, "Why do you have his number?" My dad asked, now he has interest in my life. I really wanted to say, I have it because he is the only father figure in my life and actually shows me love, but I decided not to. "Cause." I said simply as that, before he could say anything I walked to the backyard on the phone. "Hey kiddo what's up?" He said over the phone. "Hey coach, where are you? We're all waiting for you." I told him, hoping from foot to another I can't keep still at all. "I just pulled up, I had to get some stuff." He said, I looked over the fence to see him pull up. "Alright, I'll tell E to open the door." I said, hanging up before he could say anything. "Ezra open the door, your dad's here." I yelled from the kitchen.

Coach walked in holding beer, a cake and lilies and orchid, my mom's favorite flowers. "I hope I'm not to late." He said walking over to the dinner table. "Dinner is ready- Hey Tom, you look good." My mom said walking out of the kitchen, my mom and coach just looked at each other. "I brought beer for the guys, a strawberry shortcake and the flowers are for you." Coach said. If looks could kill, coach would be dead times ten. "Oh that's sweet Tom. Thank you, I'll go put these in a vase and then we can eat." My mom said taking the flowers and beer from his hands, walking to the kitchen. "Coach, you can put the cake on the island." I told him, he walked over to the little table before finding a seat. "Um, where should I seat?" He asked, "Underwater with a rock attached to you." My dad said. "Nick see we still can't come up with original comments by ourselves, where did that one come from? A cereal box maybe?" Coach said sitting at the end of the table. Noah, Ezra and I had to hold back from laughing, my dad didn't say just glared at him.

My dad and Peter didn't really talk at dinner. They only gave one worded answers and ignored whatever Coach said. "Rhonda, that was amazing. I'm surprised you became a lawyer, when you always wanted to be a chef." Coach said, helping clear the table. My mom giggled like a schoolgirl with a crush, "Well one pays better than the other." she said walking to the kitchen with Coach behind her. Noah, Ezra and I helped set up the table for dessert, my mom sent my dad and Peter out to get ice cream. I sent Trey to go take a bath, so once he eats he can go to bed. "Do you think it's weird our parents dated and you and Noah sort of dated?" Ezra asked placing the plates on the table. "I guess, Destiny and I never kissed or anything. We were mostly friends but just had the boyfriend and girlfriend tittle." Noah said cutting the cake, I grabbed the forks and spoons. "Yeah but, what if our parents got together? What would happen to us?" Ezra asked, Noah just shrugged. I thought about it, like would it be weird or better? "Alright, I got vanilla and chocolate ice cream." My dad called out, taking me from my thoughts. Peter passed me the bag, he kissed my cheek before walking to the living room. Noah and Ezra gave me a look, I just shrugged wiping off the kiss. I don't like when people do that unless you are Trey, a person I am dating or one of my parents. My mom called everyone to the table again.

"Rhonda, thank you for inviting us. We could maybe do this again?" Coach asked, hugging my mom. "Yeah sure, Do you guys want food to take home?" My mom asked the boys and Coach. They nodded their faster than they run, a bunch of fat asses. "Destiny go give them the leftover." My mom told me, I entered the kitchen my dad and Peter stopped talking once I walked in. "Hey snowflake, what do you need?" Peter asked me leaning against the counter. I just ignored him, what would I need in a place where all the food is at. I grabbed the bowls and walked out, not looking at them as I walked out. We all said by to Coach and the boys, by we I mean Trey, my mom and me. Trey hugged Coach before pulling a card. It was thank you card he made. It had a picture of him and Coach playing football. Coach looked touched, so did my mom. After they left, I sent Trey upstairs to his room since he said he wanted to sleep by himself tonight. I didn't mind since, he sleeps in there every once and a while. My dad left, most likely going to go drink, and my mom went to bed since she said she had a doctor's appointment in the morning. I walked upstairs putting on my PJ's before going to clean the kitchen. I didn't see Peter downstairs, so I figured he left.
