A New Beginning (CNCO)

Chapter 17

I was shocked at what Joel told me. I processed these words that were consuming me and I looked into his eyes. I quietly said, "To prom?"
"Yes Bella to prom."
"I... I would love to, but... I'm already going to prom with someone."
"What! Really! Who?"

Then Erick ran up to us and said, "What's going on?" Then Joel furiously pushed Erick making him fall to the ground. I quickly ran to Erick and I said, "Oh my gosh Erick! Are you ok?" Then Joel grabbed my wrist hard and yanked me towards him, but I let go. He was angry and said, "It's him right? It's him who you are going with? I knew you liked him! That's why you remembered him and not me right? How could you Bella!"

Karen helped Erick get up and he was about to punch Joel in the face, but I got myself in the middle of both of them yelling "Stop!" Chill Joel, it is not him, it's Karen."
"Bella really? Don't scare me like that. You know my feelings towards you. Aye Erick, sorry man, I got carried away with my emotions."
"Are you ok Erick?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm ok."

I walked towards Karen and told her that I had lied to Joel that I was going to prom with her. She said, "Well say yes! He is very hot and it's not fair to reject him."
"But what about you? Didn't you have a huge crush on him and aren't you going to prom?"
"No, yes, no, yes. Well I don't know anymore. I'm confused."
"Ok I'll be right back."
I was worried for Karen. I went up to Joel and he said, "Well what about prom?"
"I'll go with you!" I said trying to sound happily! Joel then immediately kissed me on the lips and said, "Oh, I'm sorry Bella. I got carried away with my emotions. You know, you made my day! You won't regret it, I promise." And he hugged me.

We told Karen and Erick that if they would like to go to prom together. Joel said, "It could be a double date!" We all started laughing and Erick said, "Well... um, Karen you want to go to prom together as friends to get to know each other better?"
Karen looked at me and I was trying to give her signs with my eyes to say yes. It took her a long time to realize what I was trying to say and she finally said "Yes."

We started to walk back to where the car was. On the way, Joel was kissing my forehead and grabbing my hand. Karen and Erick didn't notice because they were in front of us. We got to the car and I felt that I was being watched. I looked to the side of me where Joel was, but he was looking outside the window. I looked beside him where Karen was, but she was on her phone. Finally, I looked next to me where Erick was and he was looking at me with his beautiful green eyes. I could feel him consuming me little by little. He then wink at me and I chuckled a little. "What the heck?" I thought to myself.

We were ten minutes away from my house. All I could think of was prom, Joel, Karen, and Erick. Prom was about two weeks away and I had nothing to wear. A song came on the radio and Joel and Erick began to sing. I didn't know the lyrics, but Karen seemed to know them. Erick then said, "This is our first single, Tan Fácil."
"It's sounds really good." I said.

We finally got home and from the window, I saw some boys and girls waiting for us at my house outside in the front yard. We all got out the door and Joel told his driver that he will be back with the rest of the boys. The girls and boys ran up to us. All the boys were in a huddle and all the girls including Karen and I were in a huddle as well.

The boys were cheering and Karen and I told the girls that we were going to prom with Joel and Erick. Then a girl named Sarah, who says she is my cousin, said she was going with Richard, another CNCO member. Then Abigail said she was going with Zabdiel. We all cheered and laughed. My other cousins were out of high school already.

The boys came up to us because they were going to leave to go to the studio to record more music. We all gave each other a hug. Joel told me and said,"I can't wait for prom night." And gave me a kiss on the cheek. My cousins left to their house as well and Karen and I went to my room. We started to look for prom dresses online and through magazines. There were so many beautiful dresses. Karen said, "I know a friend who works at a store called, 'Just for you', and they have many prom dresses."
"We should take a look around tomorrow"
"Hey Karen, you don't mind me going to prom with Joel do you?"
"No don't worry we are all going as friends right?"
"Oh yes, nothing else." I said while flipping through the pages. Time went by fast and she left home.

I took a shower and after, I put on some shorts and a tang top. My curtains were open so I closed them but I saw Joel from my window to his and we waved at each other smiling. I grabbed my headphones and phone to get ready for bed. I heard a knock on my window and I looked to check who it was and it was Joel. "What are you doing here?" I whispered?
"I couldn't resist myself anymore so I came to see you. Can I sleep here tonight?"
"What? Are you crazy!"
"Yes for you!"
"Look, Im still getting my memory back. Once I do, I will answer that question."
"But Bella, do you trust me?"
"Yes I do, that's why I said I would go to prom with you."
"Ok Bella, well that means that I can sleep in with you tonight right?"
"No Joel, you have to go to your house or else everyone will be looking for you."
"Oh shoot, your right. Fuck! I don't want to leave."
"Look, you can sleep in another night but not today."
"Ok I'll leave, but remember I still love you."
And he got down the tree and ran to his house. I closed my window and the curtains. I grabbed my covers and went directly to sleep.

I wasn't going to school the next day until Wednesday. I woke up at 9:00 am and began to look for more prom dresses. The day went by fast and Karen came to my house to go together to "Just for you". There were many beautiful dresses and heels along with accessories. Abigail and Sarah were already there trying out some dresses. We chose many dresses to try out and heels. We were indecisive in what to choose so we decided to come back tomorrow because new ones were coming in.

When we got home we still kept looking through online and I yelled "Bingo!" Because I had found a perfect dress for me!
