As I fell I felt something build up in side me. a uncontrollable burning started working its way to the outside flowing through out my veins. I wasn't sure if I was still falling or if this is what death feels like. I heard the sound of bones cracking .
WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO ME
I finally hit the ground on all fours.WAIT WHAT!!!!! How the hell am I on all fours I'm not a dog I'm a human not some animal.
I walked over the a small lake near by I hid in the shadows until I was sure that no one was at the picnic benches near by. As I approach the lake I saw a small white wolf with dark brown eyes I jumped back shocked to see a wolf in these woods as I looked closer to the reflection in the lake I realised that the wolf was me. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME!?!?
Why was I like that could I reverse this would I stay like this forever am I dreaming what going on I want to go home back to my warm bed were I could hide away from the world under the sheets. I need answers, maybe my dad would know I was hoping this was just all a bad dream I would wake back up in that night mare I called life.
It didn't take me long to get home I knew where I was we would take mum to the picnic benches near that lake. I remember dad sitting there on a hot summers day sneezing and complaining about his hayfever while Elizabeth dipped her toes in the lake running away every time her toe touched the cool water while me and mum sat at the bench setting out plastic plates while laughing and Elizabeth. I miss that laugh.
I decided to take the back lanes home so no one would see me of course no one would know it was me but it was still rare to see a wolf roaming around the streets late at night. As I made my way back a voice started speaking to me inside my head.
"Hi " it said
"what the hell who are you and what are you doing in my head??" I asked
"I'm Carter your wolf "
"Great not only am I a wolf I now have voice inside my head great that's just dandy" I said rolling my eyes plus how was I talking inside my head to another person I mean wolf what is going on.
"I'm your wolf .... Your a werewolf..... You can change into a wolf when ever you want you can mind link other members of your pack your hearing will improve as well as sight and speed smell ...oh and you get and mate yay our mate"
"Wait a mate what do you mean a soul mate and mind linking what the hell is that why am I like this?"
"Ask your dad" and with that she was gone I tried to speak to her but nothing it was like she had cut me off almost like a mini phone call inside my head I have to admit it was kinda cool.
As I approach the house I could almost smell the worry. I wanted to change back to being human but I was unsure how to I mean I only just found out I could change into a wolf. And as if by magic I heard the sound of bones cracking I began to scream and the burning pain returned flooding through my veins I curled into a small ball hugging my self for comfort I pressed my eyes shut praying for the pain to go away.
I opened one eye and blinked a little regaining focus I peered down at my hands.... YES human hand thank god Briar is back arrrr I let out a sigh of relief...... But that didn't last long as I soon realised I was standing in the middle of my street in front of my house stark naked.
"Holy shit fuck sh......." I whispered as I made my way towards the house trying my best to cover my tiny figure with my hands which didn't cover much.
"Next time you should pack extra clothes" said Carter
"Shut up" I said in out little phone call inside of my head thingy maggiggy thing.
I let out another sigh before sneaking round to the back of the house into the garden where I slowly opened the back door. I could hear dad and Lexa in the kitchen they were both on the phone dad to the police and Lexa was talking to Dylan who was out looking for me.
I Creeped up stair I bolted into my room before closing the door making sure not to step on the creaky floor boards . Once I was in my room I grabbed some sweatpants and an old top then threw and big jumper over the top. I then swung open the door and marched down stairs I was going to find out what was wrong with me even if it killed me.
"Briar is that you??" Said dad as he stood up from the breakfast bar dropping his phone on the floor as he moved.
"Yes you two faced lying bastard" Lexa and my dad stared at me in shock "now sit the hell down and shut the fuck up I have something to say and no one is moving until I get answers" they did as I said still in shock.
"You go girl!!" Carter chirped
I mind laughed and sat down.
This night was getting longer by the second.
Hey guys
Hope you liked the chapter you get to see Briars sassy side come out to play. I like to think she a bit like me, quite and sensitive at first but fiery and feisty once you get to know her.
