And that was their story.
It didn't end with hearts and kisses.
It didn't end with them growing old together.
It ended in smiles.
It ended in tears.
One being killed and the other dying of natural causes. If radiation is considered natural.
She died with a smile on her face. She died staring at the one she loved. She died whispering " I love you" right before death took her away.
He died in tears. He died saying goodbye. Goodbye to the ones he loved. He died whispering, "Here I come, Jo."
And now they're together. Not your typical love story, but it was theirs.
