{Ally's POV}
It's a Monday morning, and I don't want to go to school. My mom is always working, and my dad died when I was little. Ever since we lost my dad, my mom promised to give me the best life possible. I mean I'm thankful and all, but I don't like when she overworks herself. I am in 10th grade and I'm already 16. Alex is one year older than me (17yd) and he always teases me about it."Ally cat!" I hear a voice call
to me. I knew it was Alex. I trotted down the stairs as he kept calling my name."Calm down, I'm coming!" I yelled back hoping he heard me.
"What took you so long?" He asked with a curious look.
"Well, it's called taking my time," I said with a smirk on my face.
"Ok, you're weird,"mumbled Alex.
"Sorry, I'm just tired," I said walking past him to get an apple for breakfast.
Alex had himself propped against the kitchen counter."Do I have something on me?" I asked as he was staring at me weirdly.
"Nope," he responded
"Then stop looking at me," I spit at him. I wasn't even wearing makeup ( I never do), and I wasn't wearing anything stylish.
"Ok Ally cat," he grinned.
Ugh I love his smile, which I never tell him. Alex is well built, with a six-pack he never shows. He has big brown eyes with a little hint of hazel. He is pretty tall I think, considering I'm short and pretty skinny.
"Ally," he says which caught my attention.
"Y-yeah?" I asked,responding back stuttering.
"Are you ready to go?" He asks.
"Oh yeah, sorry, I just dazed off ," I tell him with a reassuring smile.
"K Ally cat, is it ok if Amber walks with us to school today?" He asks me nervously.
"How about you two just go by yourselves? I can have my mom bring me," I respond with a bit of emotion in my voice.
Deep down, I did want to go with just him, but I couldn't help that.
"She doesn't have to," he says with a disappointed tone.
"It's fine, I can tell you
wanted to go with her and not me anyways," I say mumbling the last part."I won't go with her," he tells me again with a sad smile on his face.
"Omg go! You want to go with her and I know it. She's more important right now, and I understand. Now, if you could please just go," I say with hurt and annoyance in my voice.
"Fine. She is more important and beautiful. She doesn't care when I walk with you, but obviously you have a problem," he says rolling his eyes and storming out the house.
I knew he didn't mean that, but it still hurt.
"Then go," I mumble with a tear running down my face.
How could my bestfriend say that to me? I know I'm not pretty or anything, so why me? I got cut off thinking as my mom came in the kitchen.
"I'll take you," she says smiling at me.
I then knew she heard the conversation."Thanks mom," I tell her as we were in the car on the road to school.
We pulled up to school, and I saw something I didn't want to see.
