In my previous years in high school sometimes I tend to look up at the time as to when the recess or lunch is going to end, specifically when I feel alone or out of place, or not able to relate with my friends. It does kind of suck, but this year is going to be different... I hope. I look at the clock at my watch, waiting for the time ring as the class after lunch is going to start.
*RING!!*
It's Chemistry lab class, also the time where I get to meet Taylor, this girl that I met awhile ago in bio lab. She has this energy that makes me feel good and happy just by being around her. I really want to be her friend, but it seems that she already has her own group of friends, but I'm too afraid that I might lose her or waste her time because of my work..
Should I push through with this or  just be casual schoolmates? I really like her that I fear that I'm just going to miss her out, what if in the end she might not be interested in me anymore? What if she's not really that into being friends with me? This brought me to a debate in my mind, until I feel something poke me at my rib cage, jolted me from the stool that I'm sitting, then as I looked at the where it came from it's her. Immediately I simply forget the questions that's been forming in my mind as I enjoy this two hour lab with her.

"Hello again" She gave me a smile that came from her fascination on my jolt.

"Hello" I shyly said.

"Sorry I surprised you there, you didn't seem to hear me as I called you." "May I?" She asked if she can sit beside her.

"Oh sure! Sorry.. I'm just thinking of something else."

"Oh is it your next photoshoot?" She sits near me and looks at me with her beautifull bluish eyes.

I can just stare at those eyes- Nope no. Not now Karlie. Focus.

"Yeah. Just some scheduling and stuff." I lied, actually I have one in in London. "it's next week."

"That sounds so cool! Must be awesome to be a model. You get to experience a lot of things, to travel to different countries." She says, I look at her eyes again and her sweet smile. "Yeah. Well, sometimes it gets lonely." I just leave it like that, but seeing Taylor giving me a concerned look. Usually people who would ask me would just acknowledge it, or would give out a supportive comment, which I appreciate, but this one is different. Before I said anything, the teacher arrives in class ending our conversation.

As the orientation begins, the teacher told the class that the one beside us will be our lab partner, and the table where at, will be our table for the experiment. This made the two girl look at each other with disbelief, what's fascinating is when Karlie looked at Taylor is like looking at a mirror. Like it's a reflex for the two, the girls hugged each other for quite a while. In the first few seconds Karlie felt her nerves jolt, having to feel her body get in contact with the blonde's. She felt comfort with it that she wants to last longer, but she quickly pulled back to reality. Noticing Taylor's smile to her made her heart beat rise up even more. Okay Karlie calm down!! You're so obvious! Take a SUBTLE deep breath and you'll be fine.

Though the first day in Chemistry gave me some good news, it also came up with some not-so good news; We have an assignment already, due on two days.

First thing I thought, I better do the HW before next week.

As the school day has ended, Karlie immediately walked home with a smile on her face.

"I'm home." Karlie announced.

"Hey Kar." Her sister, Kimby is in the TV room watching some series beside her is Joe, our dog.

"Hey Kim, are you the only one here?" Karlie asks as she sits at the couch to pet Joe.

"Mom is at the groceries, sis is in the room doing hw, and Dad is still at work. Why?" Kimby asks.

"Oh nothing." Karlie says not unconsciously smiling.

"Okay what is it?" Kimby pauses what she's watching.

"What?"

"What's with the smile?" Kimby starts to give that teases sound.

"What's wrong with smiling?" Karlie says still focusing at petting Joe.

"Usually, you're tired or unemotional as your get home. Until dinner is ready. Did something happened?"

"Nothing! It's the first day of school what do you expect?" Karlie being all confused. Try to not admit her what really happened to day since she'll be teasing me.

"I don't know, you tell me. Having two SCIENCElabs in your final year how will those be something making someone's day." Kimby is still not convinced.

"It was just a good day that's all, you know I like science. It's not that big of a deal, except a homework in Chemistry, but ehh" Karlie shrugs.

"Mhm." Kimby just settles it there as she went back to what she's watching.

Karlie went up to her room. "Call me when dinner is ready."

"Alright." Kimby replied while still focusing on what she's watching.

As Karlie reaching the second floor. Karianne went out what right on time to see her sister.

"Hi Kar" Karianne said.

"Hey!" Karlie replied with a smile. Giving Karianne a surprise by her sister's happy mood. "Something happened?" Karianne asks. "Really? you too? What makes you say that?" Karlie said in disbelief. "Sounds like something happened today." Karianne smirked.

"Nothing." Karlie convincing.

"Alright." Karianne justs leaves it like that, as she enters the bathroom.

As Karlie enters the room, she checks her face, and see's nothing, but she noticed that as she relaxed her face, her cheeks are kind of tired. Am I smiling too much? The entire day. She thought. She immediately ignores, trying not to cringe. She changes on her comfy clothes and started with her assignments. Just to it over with, also to distract her mind of about today's event.
