Marco X Reader: Anti-social

Friends and Love

After Ymir dragged you into the girls cabin, she introduced you to all the girls that were there. To you it was fairly overwhelming as your not used to all this attention

"So girls I think our little (F/n) here is in love with a certain freckled male" she giggled as you blushed and put your head down in embarrassment as the others oohh'd and cheered.

"Y-ymir!" You stuttered and she stopped her teasing and hugged you "your actually quite adorable aren't you? I feel the need to protect you" she says pinching your cheeks lightly. "I'm not surprised with the amount of sorrow and anger her eyes hold" Mikasa says in her usual monotone voice, the room goes quiet and you were looking at her shocked, unsure what to say or do.

Ymir instantly noticed your uncertainty and an emotion she couldn't figure out at the moment. So to distract you she pulls both you and Krista together and put her arms around you both in a protective manner. Pulling you to your senses and sort of leant in her arm.

"Well Mikasa least she shows emotion in her eyes do you?" Ymir playfully teased, causing Mikasa to huff and pull up her red scarf more then look away.

"I think we should try and get some sleep. Wouldn't want to get caught" Annie spoke in a blank tone.

Everyone settled down, but you were a little overwhelmed and restless, 'why do I feel so light and content? Am I allowed to feel like this'll these were the sort of thoughts that were plaguing your already exhausted mind.

~ Morning ~

You were the first to rise and you decided to get a shower, but ended up sitting on your bed contemplating these new emotions, that was spreading throughout your mind and body. Ymir was the second to rise "what's up (F/n)?" She asked breaking you line of thought, "s-sorry was lost in thought" was her shaky reply, "c'mon missy talk to me" you looked up at her in shock "w-why would you have s-someone like me t-talking to you or b-being around?" You sobbed a little.

Ymir got down from her top bunk and hugged you, "what do you mean someone like you?" She asked carefully but then she felt you tense up as well as you clamming up. So she changed the topic, "what were you thinking?" You decided within yourself, it was okay to talk to her as she was the second person to want to know and bother with you. "I-i was wondering w-why I felt so l-light and content last night a-and wondered if I was a-allowed to feel that way?" This shocked the brown haired freckled girl to no end, but internally chuckled over your cuteness of you small but apparent stutter, 'perhaps it's because she's shy and anti-social' she thought before speaking.

"That means you were happy, perhaps your happy to know you have friends now. Plus the fact your in love, friends and love can make a person happy and content. Oh before I forget off course your allowed to feel like that!!" She never laughed at you, called you names or made fun of you, which made you give her a gentle smile and a returned smile.

The freckled girl knew she was acting 'out of character' but there was something about you, that she couldn't help but act differently towards, a bit like Krista but not romantically.

~ Time skip to late afternoon ~

After the eventful morning with the chat with Ymir, cleaning, training and hearing an announcement for a day beyond the walls scouting the land within a certain area to see, where the titans were keeping themselves.

Marco came and made it all better "hey (F/n)" he spoke with a smile, "hey Marco" you mumbled in return making him chuckle, causing you to blush. "I've been th-thinking.... I erm I l-love y-you, I realised that last night w-when I had to leave y-you" Marco stumbled over his words as his face reassembled a beacon. You were just as bad as a bright red took over your natural skin colour. "I... er... I-i l-love you too!" You managed to get out. He smiled and hugged you. "That's settled your mine" to make a statement he kissed you.

Your face couldn't get any redder even it tried, 'Ymir was right friends and love, does make a person happy'' you thought happily as you leant on Marco.
