Dear Mom and Dad,
The events of the past few days have been crazy. Who knew Christmas break would be so hectic and full of surprises?
I invited Aiden, my male roommate I told you about, and his stepbrother to Uncle John's house for the holidays. They weren't too thrilled about it, but I knew I wouldn't be able to survive Christmas alone, especially with Laura and Kara around. I was worried about having invited him. I was afraid he would find out about things. But it turns out, I didn't have anything to be afraid of.
It ended up that things turned out well. Laura couldn't keep her big mouth shut, and one thing led to another, and now he knows. Which isn't as bad of a thing as I thought it would be. Turns out, he has a story of his own. We've both lost people close to us and I think we connected over that.
Ben's coming over tomorrow for New Year's. I think I'm going to tell him, too. He's been here for me all this time. It's only fair.
On another note, I almost smiled today. It was because of Aiden.
I miss you guys. Happy New Year, Mom and Dad.
