My Oath To You

××Chapter 2××

*takes place beginning of Eclipse*

Near the end of the class, exactly 2 minutes before it ends, I glance at the girl. She is scribbling something wrong and I gently poke her shoulder, carefully not to mess up her hand. The pixie girl glances at me with a bright smile. A smile that I could never forget.

"Alice? Is that your name?" I mumbled softly. The girl gulps and nods slightly.

"Yeah. And you're Yvette. The teacher told everyone their names." She nervously looked down.

"Um no he didn't.. I'm sorry you just look exactly like someone that saved me a few years back.." I try to trace back in my memories. Alice's golden eyes glance up at me and smiles shyly.

"Couldn't have been me. I would've been your age, silly." She giggles and nudges me. The bell rings and i wander to my next class, trying to figure this out. Suddenly, heavy footsteps approach me and run straight into me making my body hit the lockers against the wall. Silently summoning the devil upon whoever did that, I turn around and lock eyes with the most gorgeous golden eyes I've seen all my life. The guy that helped me earlier laughs sheepishly.

"Sorry doll. Don't want to be late for Gym." He grins. Ah shit I have Gym next.

"Me neither." I snicker softly and hug my bag to my chest. I turn around, deciding to stop being a big baby, and walk to the gym. The guy catches up to me.

"I'm Emmett." He grins widely and i smile back.

"Yvette." I could of swore I heard him say 'I know'. Ugh. Creepy. "If you want to walk with me you could ask." I giggle slightly and glance at him. He grins and shakes his head.

"I don't ask, I do." He chuckles and i roll my eyes, turning into the girl's locker room. Everyone glanced at me awkwardly while I went to my small red locker and pull off my clothes. Once I was only in my underwear and bra, I opened my locker and pulled out my already supplied gym clothes.

Most of the girls were giggling and laughing to each other on random stuff and the other group of girls were on their phones or still changing. I was the only one without any friends at the moment. That was until a girl with super short bleach blonde hair came up to me with a Japanese girl.

"Hey we heard you're new." The blonde smirks and I got the vibe of punk rock off of her. The Japanese girl had her hair in two pigtails and it honestly looked adorable.

"Yeah. I'm Yvette." I hold out my hand and the blonde spits on her hand and shakes mine.

"Beth (played by Carlson Young) and this Nikka (played by Erika Sawajiri)." Beth introduced me to them both and I smiled. Nikka smiled very nicely and the gym teacher walks in, blowing her whistle.

"This isn't socializing hour girls! Come on!" Everyone scurried out and instantly Emmett roars my name from the other side of the gym. I slapped my hand on my forehead.

"Emmett Cullen likes you?" Nikka asks, surprised.

"I hope not." I giggle a little and tighten my ponytail.

We all gathered up and listened to the teacher explain the rules of dodgeball. The whole time Emmett and a blonde guy wih curly blonde hair stared me down. Slowly I ran a hand through my ponytail and winked at Emmett. I'll play this game, Emmett. The blonde grinned slightly and crossed his arms.

The teacher assigned us teams and sadly, I was on a team with the blonde guy and Beth. When the teams were on opposite sides of the gym, Beth was next to me and the blonde was two people over. Emmett kept his gaze on me and Nikka was five people over from him.

The whistle blew.

Before I knew it, the blonde and Emmett both were at the middle with a ball and tried throwing it at each other. The blonde gets hit and sits down. Emmett laughs and runs back to his team, holding about 3 other dodgeballs. I sprint to the middle and grab a ball while Beth follows. I touch the blonde boy with the ball. Before I could even process it, Emmett sprints to the middle and threw a ball at me. Instincts came rushing at me and I backflip, barely missing the ball. The blonde boy catches me and grabs my ball, chucking it and hitting Emmett. The muscular boy groans angrily and waits for someone to hit him. Sadly for him, the blonde, Beth, and I have them all out while the rest of our team helped each other as well. There was one girl left on Emmett's side: that was Nikka. And that girl can dodge.

"I'll try not to hurt you!" Beth joked but got a dodgeball in the boobs. She falls over with a squeal while her best friend jumps up and down happily. Beth sits down with a pout and a scoff. The blonde grins at me while patting his ball. We both narrowed our eyes at Nikka.

I dropped my ball and walked towards the middle. The blonde dropped *one* of his balls and hid the other behind his back. I walked closer, arms outstretched.

"Go ahead Nikka, make the sides even." I giggle slightly and Nikka fell for my trap. She runs over and chucks the ball. My body drops to the floor while the blonde runs over and throws his ball at Nikka's legs. He catches the ball and grins. She shrieks and falls, laughing. Emmett nodded at me proudly.

When it was lunch time, I was wandering throughout the lunch room trying to find someone to sit with. Finally, I found a seat next Jessica. I sat next to her and set my food down on the table with a small smile. She threw a crumbled up piece of paper at Mike's face while Alice began to talk.

"I've decided to throw a party." She smiles and I noticed the blonde in between Alice and I. I'll ask his nsme later.

"After all, how many times are we going to graduate highschool?" The blonde grinned at another boy across the table with a pale girl next to him as well.

"A party? At your place?"

"I've never seen your house." Jessica stated.

"No one has." I think his name was Erik leans over smd answers my cousin.

"Another party Alice?" The boy says with sarcasm and a hint of rudeness.

"Yeah. It will be fun." Alice tries to smile.

"Yeah, you said that last time." The pale girl shoots back at the pixie. I might don't know Alice very well but she is super sweet.

"You don't have to be so rude to her, you know." I growl down at my food. When I look up I meet eyes of surprised people. Probably because I talked.

"No it's okay." Alice sighs out softly.

"No it's not. She doesn't have to be a bitch." I glare at the pale girl and gather up all my food before walking out of the lunch room. Once I reach my locker, I stuff everything into it and untie my hair letting the now wavy hair fall to my back. I let out a sigh in relief.

Suddenly Emmett appears out of no where and smashes against the locker next to mine. I'm positive I jumped 5 feet into the air with a squeal. He grins and pats my arm.

"Wow I already blew your mind. The rest is going to be easy." He grins and I'm pretty sure a few butterflies were born in my stomach.

"Oh yeah right. Im not going to date you." My eyes rolled around while I set my books into my empty locker. He raised an eyebrow before chuckling.

"Maybe not, but you will go on a date with me."

"Oh will I now?" I asked curiously, facing and looking up at him.

"You will." He grins and hands me my phone. I gasp and angrily hit his arm. "I already put in my number and what time I'll be there." I unlock my phone and saw a goofy picture of him as my background.

"What the hell!" I groan loudly and faceplam myself.

"Oh stop worrying doll. See you at 7pm." He grins and disappears down the hall with a crowd. My mind blares with red lights but my heart pounded for him. It wasn't until my next class that I realized how cold he was.
