My Oath To You

××Chapter 4××

I woke up the next morning with chills down my spine. After I saw Emmett, well I think I did, in my bedroom last night I woke up every hour. But finally at 5am I managed to sleep in until 7am, the time I actually needed to get up. Jessica came sprinting into my room and jumping onto my bed while screaming her head off. Great what now? I'm now exhausted and pissed.

"Get off Jessica!" I snap but she giggles and shakes me.

"But Yvette!! We're graduating soon!!" She laughs happily and jumps up snd down my bed. We don't graduate for the next week or so... Oh well.

"Come on, Jess. We don't get out of school for like another week." I rolled my eyes.

"Exactly! 7 days to be exact!" Jessica continued to jump on my bed. This girl talks too damn much.

I throw her off of me and get up, walking to my closet. Jess leaves my room in a hurry since she was still in her pajamas. I glance down at my phone and mess with it, turning on 'Can't Help Falling In Love with You by Tøp'. I found myself humming along to the ukele while picking out an outfit for the day. After several verses of the song, I grab my outfit and pull it onto my body. The RWBY theme song blasts (yes, I watched that) as I dance along to it on my way to the bathroom. A bright smile appeared on my face when I saw Jessica leave it to go get dressed. Thats our schedule, I get dressed then bathroom. She does the opposite. It works pretty well.

I close the door and start working on my hair immediately. Getting an idea, I decide not to straighten my hair but pull it all back into a tight bun. Jessica knocks on the door and opens it, making it jab into my pinky toe. Making a shriek, she gasps and grabs her phone I didn't noticed was there and ran back to her room. God damnit this hurts.

When the time on my phone hit 7:50 am, Jessica screams my name. I sprint down the stairs and grab my beanie on the glove and hat box. My fingers also curled around the top of my backpack, which was on the floor next to the door. Jessica yells something to her mother before we run to her girly car outside.

It wasn't until my eyes locked with his that I remembered the incident last night. Once Jessica parked her car, I get out and storm over to Cullens in the parking lot. He straightens himself up with a giant shit eating grin on his face.

"Hey doll." He purred out and goes to hug me but I step back.

"Why were you in my room last night?" My voice deepens to a hiss. He pretends to look shocked.

"Me? I wasn't anywhere near your house last night after I dropped you off." He chuckles and crosses his arms. Shit eating liar!

"No Emmett, I saw you! When I tried to grab a light you were gone!" I cry out trying not to sound crazy. But that might be too late. Alice appears next to me and hugs me tightly, trying to tug me away from the gorgeous man. "Emmett tell me the truth, please." I begged him and then at Alice. "You too." Emmett grabs my arms and pulls me to the side.

"I can't tell you anything Yvette, but please promise me you'll be more careful around here? You know about Riley? The attacks are getting closer. Please be careful." The man began to beg and i was shocked.

"It's my oath to you.. But tell me!" I kept pushing them for an answer.

"Yvette we can't tell to anything, we're so sorry." Alice tries to reason with me so I yank away from them. "Secrets don't make friends." I hiss out my classroom rule from back in 1st grade as turning around and stomping up the steps towards the school. God that was pathetic. Just as I was about to open the door to the school, I noticed something redish orange in the treeline by the school. I decided to look both ways and sprint into the woods.

It got darker the deeper I got into the woods, not to mention creepier. My bag drops off of my shoulder, I'll get it later. It looked like shadows were dancing and taunting around me when I noticed I was definitely lost. Shit.

Turning around to go back towards the school hopefully, I faced a woman with bright orange curls that danced down her body. She had a teasing grin on her lips and...bright red eyes?! Oh hell no! This bitch is a monster.

"Hello Yvette." She purred out and grins more. In unbelievable speed, she appears in front of me and runs her fingers down my jawline, making me flinch away from her cold touch. The freaky ass woman shakes her head and seemed to pout. "Emmett is definitely going to miss you."

"What the hell do you mea-" Before I could ask I felt her bite down roughly on my neck making a scream rip from my lips. I felt my beanie fall off my head snd my hair so ecstatic. She bites down harder before shoving me to the ground. I screamed even louder in pain and arch my back, my toes and fingers curling in utter pain. It felt like fire was burning my entire system and my body was shutting down. Who the fuck is this bitch?!

I scream again before another figure appears out from the trees and slams into the woman that bit me. They try strangling her but she jumps out of their grip and disappears. Instead of chasing her, the figure blurs to me and grabs my hand.

"Yvette, hold on we're getting Carlisle." A southern accent calls down to me and I recognized the figure as Jasper. I didn't notice Emmett anywhere, which made me even more in pain.

Another scream falls from my lips as someone tries lifting me up. "Alice stop it!" Jasper calls out by suddenly the fiery red hair appears once again, and throwing Jasper off of me.

"She's mine!" She roars then kicks Alice into a tree. This woman was incredibly strong and fast. I let out a piercing scream when she lifts me up and starts running. Alice and Jasper gets up and goes to chase us but my vision went black and I couldn't watch my unsuccessful heroes anymore.

I'm going to die..

I won't graduate and become a Veterinarian..

I broke my oath to Emmett..
