My Oath To You

××Chapter 7××

It was dark.

Everything was dark.

Wait shit, I just had a blanket on me haha.

Now everything was bright with flames, screams, and the scent of blood. Slowly I sat up and stratched my head, gnawing on my bottom lip. Riley and Victoria suggested I take a day off when all of this drama is going on, between the Cullen's and them. I remember the Cullen's, I remember being close with one of them. They make the memory of them dry and crust up even if it's only been a few days. I severely miss them, so damn much.

Bree gently shook me with sad eyes, knowing what is going on with me. She knew the sad empty look in my eyes like she was in my state of mind as well. A smile spread across my cheeks to assure her I'm alright.

Emmett.

The name shocked itself into my mind as I grasp my forehead. The image of him burned into my mind made me shiver and wish he could be holding me right now. I was cut off at my dream separate from reality when Victoria roughly set a hand on my shoulder. "Yvette." She smirks down at me.

A growl was in my throat before I caught myself and decided not to say anything to the woman that claims herself to be my master or whatever. She glared down at me with her red eyes, making my already ice cold body to shiver.

Emmett POV

"It's been too long. I need her now!" I snapped loudly as holding my head in my hands. My body was resting on the couch as my body shook with anger. Jasper leans against the arm of the couch and grabbed my shoulder tightly.

"Emmett, we're going to find her." Soothing vibes coursed through my body as a loud sigh fell from my lips. "Alice is just waiting for a sign okay?" He kept trying to reassure me but nothing can get my mind off of the possible danger Yvette was in. Just the whiff of her blood that day almost killed me in the most torturous way ever.

"Come on." Jasper motioned outside so we could hunt. I smirk and stand, rushing outside to race him to the kill. Finally, I got her off my mind.

Not even an hour later we came back home to the smell of Bella upstairs and Carlisle mentioning about someone who possibly could know? What is going on? Yvette?

"The smell dropped 5 miles south of Bella's house." Jasper butted in when we got there. So we were chasing after that person? Fucking hell. I walk in further to stand by Esme and cross my arms. Maybe Yvette? Or someone trying to hurt Bella?

My mind got off track when they started mentioning Victoria and the Volturi. My body got stiff as the thought of Yvette once again stabbed into my mind. I hope she was safe.

"So we need to keep looking." I offered out into the conversation as Carlisle nods and talked about routines around Bella's house. I didn't mean by that, I want to look for Yvette. Some suggestions were thrown here and there until we finally agreed that the wolves will help us look after Bella and her dad. I didn't like it, but Bella was family. And there was no lead with Yvette so far.

Yvette POV

We were all gathered around, feasting upon the innocent or communicating violently among each other. Bree and I were sitting off in a corner away from the chaos. Bree screamed when someone sliced another Vampire's head off. They grinned at Bree to scare her as I locked my arms around her and snarled towards them. They grin and get up, approaching us. I stand up and get in their face, protecting Bree.

"Back. Off." A snarl came from my lips to warn them off but they wouldn't budge.

Instead they went to grab my throat but I kick their knee so hard that it shatters and they fall back. I spit at them before going back to look at Bree. Riley had her close with a strong warning hand.

"Finish him, Yvette. You never leave a message behind." He purred as I turn back to the person snarling angrily on the ground. My eyes flickered between Riley and the person before leaping on them. I grab the man's throat on the ground and rips his arm off that went to grab my hair. He screamed before I lean down and bite his throat. The crystals burn into my mouth before I rip out apart of his throat that made him stop moving.

Riley cheered as standing and pushed Bree to me. I hold her close, very gently and growled. He stared at me like he was waiting for me to do so ehing before he stalked off. Bree giggled up at me with big googily eyes like I was the best person in the world.

"We're going to be okay, now that you're protecting me and I'm going to protect you." Bree promised and hugged me tightly. I felt my heart sink, the feeling off evil and bad approaching our lives quick.

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT A LOW PROFILE?!" Riley suddenly screamed making Bree yelp and bury her face into my shoulder. He then stalked off to go meet Victoria after a big long speech.

Something bad is coming. And it's coming fast.
