One More Time

Chapter Nine

After Christina and Amy got out of the hospital, Amy thought that it was cause for a celebration. Ally had been thrown into prison and was charged with murder and so everybody had a drink for her.

"For Ally!" yelled Christina as she took a drink.

"For Ally!" everyone else yelled.

"Its because of Ally we all are still free. Keep the memory alive," Katherine said sadly on the verge of tears. Normani pulled her into a hug and Katherine started crying.

Katherine's P.O.V
(As I sat in my house writing about my adventures I had when I was younger, my doorbell rang. I put my journal down and answered the door.

"Hello Katherine."

It was Normani. Standing there in a blue form fitting dress smiling at me. I hadn't seen her since she went off to college in the fall of 2016. I missed her everyday after she left. Nothing was ever the same after she left me. And while I know that we would never be what I wanted us to be, I still missed her being with me.

"Well can I come in?" she asked.

"Yes, of course? Come in!"

I moved aside and she stepped into the house and looked around.

"Well, y-you look great. How did you find me?" I asked a bit nervous to be around her again.

"Lisa told me where you were. I know I haven't been around and I really am sorry about that. I've been working on me and my career and I-"

"I still love you."

Why did I say that? Why was I so stupid. She looked at me like I was insane after telling her that. It got quiet and Normani looked as if she was thinking about something.

"Can you please say something?"

"What do you want me to say Kat?"

"Say how you feel," I said softly.

"I- well I don't know how I feel Kat."

"Well I do. And even if you don't love me back, I'll still love you. I have this entire time."

She looked at the door as if she wanted to run away. In that moment my heart felt like it was about to come out of my chest.

Normani continued to hold a crying Katherine while everyone else around them started downing drink after drink and being merry.

Normani's P.O.V

(Katherine looked like she was on the verge of tears after I told her I didn't know how I felt. It had been years since I last saw the woman and she was still in love with me. Why? I couldn't stand being away from her either but I thought she had moved on. I cried almost everyday missing her and then I finally got the courage to ask Lisa where she had moved to. She moved out into a secluded wooded area and it seemed like the perfect place to get lost, and find yourself.

"Katherine look, I just thought that- Kat I'm scared okay!? I love you too babe but-"

"But what!? Its been years Mani. Why did you even come here today?"

"To tell you that- to tell you that I missed you so mu-"

Damnit. I told myself I wouldn't break down in front of her. She grabbed me into a hug and kissed my temple.

"Promise me something?" Katherine asked me.

"Promise you what?"

"You'll never leave me again."
