Camilia's POV

"Evan!!!"

I woke up with a start.

"Evan! We're home!"

It was a woman's voice. Still half asleep, I got up and walked out the room. I saw someone at the kitchen. I tried focusing my eyes on the figure.

"Uhhh, sweety, who are-," the person said. "Oh right! You're the girl Evan told me about."

I was awkwardly just standing there, not knowing what to do.

She must be Evan's mom.

"Come, sweety," she said, motioning her hand to tell me to come to the kitchen. "We bought some breakfast on our way here."

Again, I awkwardly walked towards the kitchen.

While I helped her, Evan walked in. Along with what looked like his dad.

Long story short, everything was awkward. Except for introductions, none of us talked much. I can tell Evan was trying start a conversation but couldn't get his mouth open because of the awkwardness.

"You guys can clean up," his dad, Mr. Kennish said. "We're a little jet lagged so we're gonna rest for a bit."

They went up, leaving me and Evan in the kitchen to clean up.

I let out a sigh. Evan too. I giggled at our actions.

"Sorry, I totally forgot that they were coming today," he said. "And if I knew they were coming this early, I would've woken up earlier to not have put you in such an awkward situation."

"No, it's fine," I said. "It wasn't that awkward."

He stared at me like "Seriously?".

"Ok fine. Fine. It was really awkward." I rolled my eyes at him, which caused him to giggle.

When we got done, I was about to go back to the room. But he stopped me.

"For the time you've been here," he said, "you never actually went out. You were basically locked in here. So.... I was thinking maybe we can spend the day out together. And it's Saturday, too so..."

"Sure," I said.

"We'll leave in one, two hours maybe? You can start getting ready now if you want."

We both seperated, I went to my room, he went up to his room.

I usually don't take long to get ready so I was on my phone for around 30 minutes before actually getting my lazy ass off the bed. I took a shower, did my hair, and put on eyeliner and mascara. I'm not your usual girly girl so my clothes were just casual. I wore a striped T-shirt dress and black vans. I walked out the room, taking my white shoulder bag with me.

Evan's POV

Taking Camilia out has been my goal this past week. I felt like she was locked inside the house the past two weeks, so I wanted her to get some fresh air. It was hard for me to get a free time during the weekdays. Luckily I had no plans today, so it was a perfect day to take her out.

I showered and got ready. I dressed simple: jeans, plain white shirt, gray vans. I took my phone, keys, and wallet, and headed downstairs.

When I walked towards the living room, I saw Camilia. It was weird, it felt like everything just stopped and all I saw was her. She was sitting down on the sofa, on her phone. Her long, black hair flowing down. When she looked up at me, reality came back.

"You're ready?" she said, after looking up.

"Yeah, let's go," I said.
