Run.

Just run.

Don't look back and just run.

Away from everyone.

Friends.

Family.

This whole town.

Panting really hard, I've escaped.

It's time to start over. But how? With just my clothes, phone, some cash, how? Where do I go?

I looked around me. Stuck on the side of a freeway. Cars passing by, a different one each time I blink.

Behind me was a small plaza.

"Ok. Here goes nothing," I thought to myself.

I climbed over the railing and walked towards the plaza. With all the grass, it made it harder to walk. But I eventually got through it.

The plaza was basically empty. No cars parked and the stores were closed.

"I'm just the luckiest girl alive, huh?" I mumbled to myself.

Out of the blue, thunder rolled. And just a few seconds later, rain started pouring.

"Seriously?!?"

Soaking wet, I ran to a shaded corner. I sat against the wall. Like on cue, a tear came down my face. I wiped away the fallen tear but another one fell. Tear after tear, I just sat there.

Flashbacks. Terrible flashbacks started popping up.

"You promised! You promised that you'll stop! You promised to not tear apart this family anymore than it already is!" I hear my older brother say towards my mom.

"What do you mean tear apart?!? I have done nothing but try to live up to my responsibilities after your father died!" my mom responded back.

"Live up to your responsibilities?!? You call this 'living up to your responsibilities'?!? Look at all the mess you have made to this fam-"

He was interrupted by my other brother saying, "Stop! Will you two just stop fighting? For once??"

"Don't butt into our conversation!" my mom pushed him to the side, causing him to knock down a flower vase from the shelf.

Shouting. Shouting. Shouting.

All I hear is shouting as I sit on a corner, crying my eyes out. With my face covered with my hands, I didn't dare watch anything else that could happen.

As I cry, I felt a hand touch my shoulders. It was my brother comforting me.

"Don't worry. This will end... Eventually," he whispered.

As he said that, a cup was thrown and landed just inches away from my feet. I placed my head on his shoulders and cried some more.

My life is really bad at home so maybe it would be better at school? Wrong.

As I walk through the hallway, I hear laughter from a group of girls. They were my friends. Well, at least old friends.

"Bitch.."

"What the fuck is she doing here? She should move."

"No, actually, you know what's better? Die. She. Should. Just. DIE."
